You can add or update DNS records at any time from the Domains page of your Wix account.

To add or update DNS Records: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, hover over Subscriptions > click Domains > under My Domains, next to the relevant domain, click Manage.

Under Domain Summary, select the Advanced tab > next to DNS Records, click Manage > add or edit your records according to your requirements.

*This feature has not yet been released to all users.*

You can currently transfer only domains with the following extensions: .com, .org, .net, .biz. and .info.

You can transfer your domain from another registrar to your Wix account. To transfer your domain, verify that at least 60 days have passed since your registered or last transferred your domain and make sure that your domain is unlocked.

For more information please click here.

Your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect.

      Hi,

If I understand correctly, you wish to point your domain to external host.

I can see you changed the IP address, your domain is no longer pointing to Wix.

As for the name servers of your domain, it is not possible to change the name servers of a domain name purchased from Wix therefor , you will see Wix name severs but your IP will be an external IP address.

      Dear Ros,

I checked your Wix account and I saw you have purchased the domain name from Wix.

In this case, your domain is automatically connected to your Wix site.

Your domains: virtualros.com, is connected and your site loads perfectly from my end.

      Greetings!

I'm using Office 365 for email and I want to make sure that the http://www.virtualros.com website that you host for me continues to work and people can still get to it after I change my DNS name server records for Office 365. Please let me know the IP address for my website. If the IP address isn't static, please let me know the fully qualified domain name where the website is hosted instead. I will use the info to create the necessary DNS records in Office 365 to point to my site.

      Hi Daniel,

I'm using Microsoft Office 365 and would like to use my domain with it. To do this, I need to change my domain's name server records to point to Office 365. Because you are my domain registrar, could you please change the name server records for me? The Office 365 name servers are listed in the table below.

      Server name
      Name server 1 ns1.bdm.microsoftonline.com
      Name server 2 ns2.bdm.microsoftonline.com

      Hey Ros,

      Your IP address is 216.185.152.156

To add your domain to office 365 please go here.

Please note that it is not possible to change the name servers of a domain name purchased from Wix. You may either transfer the domain away from Wix, or point the domain to a different IP address.

      * If you have purchased a Wix domain, but have decided to transfer it away from Wix, you can do so easily by following the instructions here.

      * To point your domain to a different IP address, you will need to modify the domain's A records. You will need to contact your new host and request for the relevant IP address. For more information about how to edit your A records, click here.

Please let us know should you require any further assistance.

Where do I edit the name servers? Nothing else, not Cname, Aname, etc. Simply edit the name servers shown at https://premium.wix.com/wix/api/domainEditRecordsView?domainName=zakwellness.com ??? There is no edit button/link to change name servers.

    Thanks,

    Dave

    Hi,

How to  create a DNS (Domain Name System) record that proves to Google that you own the domain.

How do i do the following, where can i find the head tag of my page.

To set up the web tracking code:

Find the tracking code snippet for your property.
Sign in to Analytics, and click Admin. From the Account and Property columns, select the property you’re working with. Click Tracking Info / Tracking Code.
You should see a box with several lines of JavaScript in it. Everything in this box is your tracking code snippet. It starts with <script> and ends with </script>.
The tracking code contains a unique ID that corresponds to each Google Analytics property. Don’t mix up tracking code snippets from different properties, and don’t reuse this tracking code snippet on multiple domains.
    Copy the snippet.
Don’t edit your snippet. Just copy it. You might want to paste it into a text editor if you’re worried about accidentally losing or changing the snippet.
Paste your snippet (unaltered, in it’s entirety) into every web page that you want to track. Paste it immediately before the closing </head> tag.
If your website uses templates to generate pages, enter it just before the closing tag in the file that contains the<head> section.

    Regards

    George.

      Hey,

Please follow the instructions provided here to connect your own domain to your Wix site.

You can connect up to three domain names (URLs) to one Wix site through the Wix domain manager:

Step 1: Decide which domain address is your primary one (www.domain.com).  The other domain address (www.domain2.com) will be your secondary.

Step 2: Connect your primary domain to Wix.

Step 3: Once you have connected your primary domain to your Wix site, go to Manage Premium > click on the Domains tab > select your secondary domain from the list.

Next to ‘Wix Site’ click on ‘Change’.In the pop-up window select ‘To another domain name’, select your primary domain from the drop down menu and click on ‘Save’.Your domain name is now redirected! You will be able to see this under the Domain Summary.

      Thanks,

      Gill, Wix Team

Hi, I need to change my NameServers to a different host - I purchased the domain from you but I'm using bluehost to actually host the site.  I have been through every help file & the forum and can't find how to change the NameServers - it seems that I can change every other thing but not the NS!  Can you please let me know how this can be done? Thanks!

      Hey,

You cannot change the nameservers for a Wix domain. You can either:

      1. Connect the domain to your external site by pointing (changing the A records)

      2. Transfer the domain over to your new host. Please note you can only do this once 60 days have passed from the moment of purchase.

Please don't hesitate to contact us again. Nat
