    Greetings,
I'm using Microsoft Office 365 and would like to use my domain with it. To do this, I need to change my domain's name server records to point to Office 365. Because you are my domain registrar, could you please change the name server records for me? The Office 365 name servers are listed in the table below.

    Server name
    Name server 1 ns1.bdm.microsoftonline.com
    Name server 2 ns2.bdm.microsoftonline.com

      Hi,

      Unfortunately, that is not possible.

In order to change the NS of your domain you will have to transfer your domain to a different registrar. Please take a look at the following thread.

    Hello,

We are an active business with a domain name that is managed by Yahoo, and a website managed by Wix. I've received emails from Wix indicating that we need to change from domain pointing to DNS. I've exhaustively tried to review all the steps Wix offers, but I'm concerned about just clicking around trying to make this change.

    1) In doing as Wix instructs, will my site be down any period of time? I read that it can take 72 hours to propogate. In layman's terms does that mean my site could be down this amount of time?

    2) Is it a requirement to change pointing?

    3) Yahoo currently manages our email as well. Will this change any of that functionality?

Thanks in advance for your help.

      Hi,

      1) If you ask your domain host to change your Name servers and you change your connection method afterwards, your site should not experience any downtime.

      2) It is not a requirement to do so. However, we strongly recommend it.

An answer to this topic can be found in What is the difference between connecting using Wix IP and connect with name servers?

      3) Should you change your name servers, you will have to change your MX records at WIX in order to continue to receive emails.

      Best, Ritti

    Hi!

I've been looking around to figure out where I can find the "DNS configuration". I bought an e-mail from you, and I logged in at google.com with my new e-mail.

Google says I need to verify my ownership? It says "Add the TXT record below to the DNS configuration". So now I have a long text to add somewhere?

How do I do this? Thanks.

      Hello,

Thank u for contacting Wix Support. To add a TXT record:

      1. From your Domain Manager, under My Domains, click Manage next to your chosen domain.

      2. Under Domain Summary, next to Domain Records, click Manage.

      3. From Edit Domain Records next to TXT (Text), click Add New TXT Record.

      4. Next to TXT Name, type in the subdomain.

      5. Next to TXT Value, type in the TXT record.

      6. Next to TTL, from the drop-down menu, select the time before this addition takes effect.

      7. Click Add.

      Your TXT record is added.

      Hi,

      1. Which domain are you referring to?

      2. I am not sure I completely understand what the issue is. Please be as thorough as you can while describing the issue, so we can give you the best fitting answer.

      3. In any case, please provide your current host both of Wix's name servers: ns1.wix.com and ns2.wix.com.

      Sincerely,

      Effie

    Hi,

I have recently signed up for office 365 and i am trying to get my mail working correctly.

After  a lot of messing around i got the mail working but not using MX records as its said the the Microsoft servers were not valid :)

    Anyway back to the issue

I already owned our website and have linked it into Wix but now i need to change its name-servers, i have changed at the firm i purchased it from to point at the new servers fine but who i do a whois check it says its still pointed to Wix.

Looking at the domain admin on Wix it says the Wix name-servers and i can't seem to edit that anywhere.

Really strange as this is usually straight forward.

    Suggestions please :)
