In Windows, the operating system caches the DNS lookup for a domain name, linking it to a particular IP. Once the IP changes (for instance, when you connect your domain to Wix), Windows looks up the cached information that it has instead of looking up the new DNS settings for that domain name.

Refreshing the browser, and clearing the browser’s cache will not resolve the issue. Instead, please follow these steps (for a Windows environment only):

1. Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt
2. In the Command Prompt, type the following: ‘ipconfig /flushdns’

If you are using an Apple MAC environment, to flush the DNS:

1. Open the Terminal. (Go > Utilities > Terminal).
2. Type in the following: dscacheutil -flushcache

Hi!  I am unable to flush my DNS (it says requires elevation).  In my domain manager, it still says pending registry (it has been 5 days).  Is there a problem?  www.wix.com/lakshmeshe/threejewelsvancouve2 trying to connect to www.threejewelsvancouver.com.

    Thank you so much!

      Hi,

Please note that the transfer is long indeed and takes usually 7 days.

Please note you have done everything correctly and the domain name has been submitted to the Registry to finalize the transfer.

As you see under your domain manager "A response may take up to 7 days".

Thanks you for your patience. Let us know if you need any assistance.

      Kosta, Customer Solutions.

      I see your domain daisysway.com.au is up and running, see screenshot below;

I can see from our records that you connected your domain a few weeks ago.

Please be aware that it can take from 1 to 3 months for Google to update its database and for your site to be indexed. Finding your site using your relevant keywords may take even more time.

One way to speed up this process is to submit your website directly to search engines.

You can submit your website directly to Google here.
You can submit your website directly to Bing here.

Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to assign your website a high rank, this part is up to you.

Make sure that your websites content has been optimized in accordance with the advice offered in our SEO Learning Center. We also recommend that you use the SEO Wizard & Monitoring tool for a more in depth analysis of your site’s SEO.

      Hello Wix,

It's me again…I'm getting a little bit tired of trying to put my website on the net. I understand that it takes few months on "google" for example…I tried others search engines. I didn't work either. I can't even share or diffuse the link on FB (they told me that there is no conection with Wix) or by mail. I tried with all the keywords to find it and I checked SEO. It didn't find. So There is only "me" who can go on my website, using "wix" to go…It's useless. I don't know what is the problem…I tried everything. You already had this kind of problems?? don't you... Please make it works...
