Good Day Guys, Hope life is good at your end.

I took a Free Template & went into Editing. I published just to TEST some features.

Now what i see is that, on top right hand side it indicates "Create a WIX Site" & below Footer "This site was created using WIX.com. Create your own for FREE>>"

I Plan to Purchase the Domain later on! My Question is, will the above what i mentioned in "....", will appear on my website even after i have my own Domain OR it appears only on FREE Websites?

    Thanks & Kind Regards

The Wix Ads appear on free sites, once you upgrade your site they will be gone, regardless if you have a domain or not.

You can review all the upgrade plans here or below.

When you are ready, go to My Sites and click Upgrade next to the site of your choice.

There are five upgrade options for regular Wix pages:

      Connect Domain Plan ($6.90/month):
This plan enables you to use your own domain that you purchased from any domain registrar. You can store up to 500MB, with 1GB bandwidth.

      Combo Plan ($10.95/month):
This plan includes connecting your domain and removing the Wix ads from your site. You can store up to 3GB with 2GB bandwidth.

      Unlimited Plan ($15.95/month):
This plan includes connecting your domain and removing the Wix ads from your site. You can store up to 10GB with unlimited bandwidth.
We have a special sale going:

      eCommerce Plan ($19.90/month):
This plan includes connecting your domain, removing the Wix ads from your site and using the eCommerce feature. You can store up to 20GB with 10GB bandwidth.

Available only in the U.S and Canada
      VIP Plan ($29.90/month):
This plan includes first priority support, connecting your domain and removing the Wix ads from your site. You can store up to 20GB with unlimited bandwidth.

You get premium support with all of these plans!

      Hey friendsofnewbernav,

Please note that your URL appears this way due to the technology used to create your site. Your Wix HTML5 website is built using HTML5 and AJAX technology. This has many benefits, such as animations on your page transitions, the ability to have your background, header and footer stay static while only the content changes, the ability to use all of the new HTML features as they are released, dynamic page sizing, optimization for mobile devices, etc.

To support using this technology, the URL's of your website need to be built in the following manner:

      1. This is your domain name
      2. #! - This is called a 'hashbang'. The # signifies a 'hash fragment' and is the convention being used today to link to content when using AJAX technology (similar to anchors in HTML). The ! specifies the escaped fragment, which is what allows search engines to understand where the content in your site is actually located – this is because the content you're seeing on your site is being rendered via AJAX technology which means that your page isn't 'reloading' – i.e., when you switch pages, your header, background and footer all stay in place. The content actually does exist on the server- but at another address. In order for the search engines to find this address, the ! is used as the 'escaped fragment', which tells the search engines where to find your content (as they cannot really crawl javascript properly).
You can learn more about AJAX technology  here.
      3. This is the name of the page you're on. After this, the symbol / is what we use as part of the mechanism described in point #2. This is where we specify the actual address of the page on the server
      4. This is the Page ID which is the actual address of the page on the server, and cannot currently be changed. This is necessary because it tells the browser (and search engines) where to fetch the content from.

Important Note: In order to share links to your site you must use the full link above (1-4) including the Page ID. Removing the Page ID will yield an invalid link.

For more information, visit our Learning Center page here.

Tip: Please note that if you feel that the URL is too long, you can use the Google URL shortener. Simply add your long URL- including the page #! and the page name, click "Shorten URL" and you will see on the right side the Google URL you can also use. It will look like this: http://goo.gl/ShONge .

If you have any other questions, please let us know!

      Thank you,

      Eyal, Wix Customer Support Team

I recently purchased domain from your website, and the domain is www.raldeyskateboards.coms. i think the purchase linked with network solutions, now we could not access to their website even i provided the right email address to reset my password, so could you help me on that?

You do not need to do anything with Network Solutions; you can manage your domain completely through the Wix platform. Are you unable to access your Wix account?

Please note that in order to connect a domain to a site, the site must first be upgraded to premium. Please let us know precisely what the problem is.

Please try to post tickets in their respective thread in order for us to know what the former discussion was about.

You can now connect up to three domain names (URLs) to one Wix site through the Wix domain manager:

In order to connect an additional domain to your current domain, please make sure to add the new domain to your account as well (use the "already have a domain" link). Once the domains are listed in your domain manager, please follow these instructions:

Step 1: Decide which domain address is your primary one ( www.exampledomain.com).  The other domain address ( www.exampledomain2.com) will be your secondary.

Step 2: Connect your primary domain to Wix.

Step 3: Once you have connected your primary domain to your Wix site, go to Subscriptions > Domains, next to your secondary domain, click Manage.

From Domain Summary, under Domain Connects To, click Change >  From the pop-up window, select To another domain name > choose your primary domain from the drop down menu > click Save.

Your domain name is now redirected! You will be able to see this under the Domain Summary.

      Please note:

      - Please allow 24 hours for the redirection to propagate to have your secondary domain redirecting to your primary domain. Over the first 24 hours a website will be available under two domain names (secondary and primary ones). After 24 hours when typing in the secondary domain name the address in the browser's address bar will change to your primary domain name.

      - To connect a third domain, repeat Step 3, using your third domain name.

      - If your primary domain name is not connected to Wix correctly, the redirection will not work. You will receive an error message. In this case, please make sure to follow the instructions in Step 2.
      - You can add up to 3 domains to your account per premium package but there is no limitation on how many domains can be redirected to a specific site.
      - Please make sure you click on the Check Connection button in the Domain Summary section and verify that it was successful.

      Best, Ritti

I recently purchased 2 domains. The first one is www.palmcovestays.com and that is operating well. The second purchase was for Zen Villa Bali with the domain pointing to my own website www.balizenvillas.com

What I need to do is to have another name for this new site as I already have the successful site  www.balizenvillas.com and I don't see the value in having the new ( Un named site ) pointing to my existing site. It is not operating anyway as it cannot be directed to my existing site. I am better off having a second site with Wix under a different name.

Can we scrap the first listing and start again, or simply re name it. eg www.balizenvillas.net which I also own, or www.baliaccomm.com which is available.
