If you have purchased a domain from Wix, it is possible to transfer it to another domain host, if necessary.

To transfer a Wix domain: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, hover over Subscriptions > click Domains > click Manage next to the relevant domain.

Under Domain Summary, click the Advanced tab > on the right, click Transfer away from Wix > click Send.

 

An email code will be sent to your email address. This code should be forwarded to your new domain host.

 

Note: In accordance with ICANN rules, you will only be able to transfer your domain 60 days after purchasing it from Wix.

 

Note: If you were referring to a non-Wix Domain which you connected to your Wix site, you will need to contact your domain host for assistance with disconnecting your domain from Wix.

    I've followed the instructions on transfering a domain away from Wix. I smashed the button to send an email to myself with the transfer code, but I'm yet to get that email. It has been about 30 minutes or so...does it take longer?

      Never mind, the email finally came through. It took about an hour to get to me though.

      It says that this is the address of the registrar of my domain - dfh60buiouh5pa3pr03roio6gd@domaindiscreet.com. Is this correct?

    Hi I have initiated a request to transfer a domain away from Wix on Sunday and the status at the new host is saying "We're waiting for approval from the sending registrar, which can take up to 7 days."

    Is there anything else that I need to do in the Wix account to move this process forward? If not, is there anything that your team can do to expedite this request?  Please advise. Thanks.

      Please note that once the code is transferred, the rest of the procedure is in the control of the new registrar. Please contact your new registrar for further assistance. Be informed that this can take up to 7 business days.

    Hi,

    I am planning to transfer my domain www.kpastrologylearning.com from Yahoo to Wix with Premium plan. I would like to build my site with Wix site builder. How do I ensure that the new site built with Wix is publicly viewed when one clicks on my domain name URL?

Please note that once the code is transferred to your new registrar (step 5 in the link provided), the rest of the procedure is in the control of the new registrar.In this case, you will need to contact your new registrar for further assistance. Be informed that this can take up to 7 business days.

    I bought a domain from godaddy and Thought I had to transfer it from godaddy to you but I learnt that I do not so I would like ot transfer it back to godaddy as this is where all my domains are.

    I need a code.

    All domains in transfer to us from another registrar require an EPP/Authorization Key to transfer.

    Please contact your current registrar to obtain this key.

    The transfer of domain names to us cannot be completed without this key. 

    This domain is still in a registrar lock status.  Please contact your current registrar and ask them to unlock the domain in order to complete the process.  

    We are a re seller of BRANDON GRAY INTERNET SERVICES, INC. DBA NAMEJUICE.COM, and any requests from them have been initiated by us.
