    Alternatively is there any way of completely erasing my email accounts and domain name and then just re-adding them from scratch?

      Hi again :o)

      If you have more than one Email address associated with your domain name, please note that it is not possible to cancel any of these these mailboxes without cancelling your Google Apps account. When you cancel your Email subscription, all the mailboxes associated with your domain name will be cancelled.
       

      Important: After cancelling an email account subscription, your email account will remain active until the next renewal date. After the renewal date, all mailboxes related to the email account will be cancelled and all data in the email account will be deleted with no option for retrieval or restoration of the data.
       

      To cancel your mailbox subscription, please follow the directions here.
       

      If you are cancelling a yearly plan, please remember that the renewal payment will be attempted 1 month before the anniversary of your purchase. You will need to cancel before this in order to prevent the auto-renewal payment.

    Transferring Domain

    Hi Wix, 

    I really need your help with this and please keep it clear as I am not the most technical person. 

    I would like to transfer my domain from Wix to SquareSpace. I have already entered the CNAME and done this. You have also sent me a transfer code, but I am not sure what to do with this? Is there anything else I need to do for my domain to be transferred? Will I have to continue paying for wix premium once it is transferred? 

    Asides from this, I also have my company emails registered on google apps through wix. Will these still be ok to use if I delete my wix account or not?

      Hi,

      Please take a look at the best reply for an answer on how to transfer your domain away from WIX.

      Once you will transfer your domain away from WIX you will have to update your MX records with that company. Your mail is hosted by Google, so you will have to update the records, respectively.

    Hi,

     If possible I would like the CNAME Record set to domains.tictail.com, for domains where CNAME is not applicable I would like to set up an A Record to (blahblah)

     How do I do this?

      Hey,

       

      Please note that your domains faithindesign.be and turboss.be are not Wix domains, therefore the instructions above are irrelevant.

       

      Currently these domains are only connected to Wix, to disconnect these domains from Wix, please ask your domain hosting company to disconnect it from the Wix's Name Servers (NS1.WIX.COM and NS2.WIX.COM).

     I have 8 more days remaining on the 60 day wait time, Is it possible to switch my domain to another host prior to the 60 days?. I want to transfer one of my Wix domains to another host where I have built a site, but keep the current site I have on Wix, and point it to another domain I have registered through Wix.

      Hi,

      Unfortunately, it is not possible.

      Please note: In accordance with ICANN rules, you cannot transfer your domain to another provider until 60 days after you register or transfer your domain.

       

      In the meanwhile, you can point the domain to external host.

      * To point your domain to a different IP address, you will need to modify the domain's A records. You will need to contact your new host and request for the relevant IP address. For more information about how to edit your A records, click here.

      Thank you, just to make sure I have it correct,I don't have to wait 60 days to point the domain elsewhere,where it should function once the new host has the relevant information.The 60 days only applies to,actually transferring the domain to another provider? 

      Once I point the domain elsewhere, and the new host verifies everything,I can then set the Wix site I currently have to another domain I have through Wix?

      Hello,

       

      Yes, you are correct. The 60 day limitation applies only to domain transfers.

       

      Once you point the domain, it will take up to 72 hours to propagate, but is possible immediately.

    No where does it say "Transfer away from Wix" in the 'Advanced' tab when I go into manage my domain.

    It just shows my DNS Records and thats it. How can I transfer it then?

      Hi,

      You cannot transfer your domain from WIX, because your domain is not with WIX. You can check who your domain host is at who.is.

      Hi,

       

      If you have a non-Wix Domain, please contact your domain host for assistance with disconnecting your domain from Wix.

       

      In order to point your domain to another IP you do not need to change your NS (this option is unavailable through Wix) but instead to change your A records to the IP provided to you by 1&1.

       

      An A (address) record is a DNS record that can be used to point your domain name and host names to a static IP address.

      For more information about how to create an A record, click here.

      Make sure to update your A records and not to create new ones.

    I am trying to transfer my domain to bluehost.

    It gives me an error and asks that you whitelist their IP so they can retrieve the WHOis data.

    Here is the Error

If the administrative contact information looks clear to you, then contact customer support immediately to investigate the problem, otherwise contact the Current Registrar to have the problem repaired.

      Yeah,

         I already did all that.  When I went to transfer the domain and enter the code, i get a problem.  Bluehost says that you are blocking their IP from retrieving the WHOis ID information. Please whitelist their IP.  I can't believe that I send you this detailed error message that shows I have already done all the WIX reccomended transfer steps and obviously initiated the transfer and you give me a replay saying "look at our top reply".  That is the worst tech support ever.  Did you even read my question?

       

      HERE IS THE PROBLEM (PLEASE READ THIS TIME):
