Since, I was unaware how to transfer from one Wix account to the other. I decided to delete the other website created in one of my Wix accounts. Thinking that it would eliminate the duplication of website. Unfortunately, I am still receiving error messages. It could be that it takes a couple of hours before the system resets. Unsure???. Nonetheless, is it possible to share with me how to fix this. RECAP: I am trying to accomplish a NEW TEMPLATE/WEBSITE but another account had my website. Which, I recently deleted. Now, I am needing assistance on how to fix this? HELP?? Thank you.

      Hello,

I am little confused by your question, are you trying to move a site from an account to another, then connect the domain under the second account to the now moved site?

You can easily transfer a Wix site from one account to another! This process will create a copy in the other account.
Please follow the instructions here or check out the video below.

You can also transfer domains purchased by Wix to another account. Click here for information.

P.S. If you want to use your own domain e.g. www.myname.com, please check out our premium upgrade options here.

Please note: It isn't possible to transfer a premium package from one account to another.

If I misunderstood please reply clarifying exactly what you would like to achieve and we guide you through the steps.

      Best regards

I believe I have a big mess going. I am unsure how it has become so convoluted at this point.

Initially, I needed to transfer the account to another account. That is all water under the bridge since I decided to delete my other website under the other account. Now, I am having problems publishing the website, due to the fact the system recognizes it under another email and account. The error message states domain is in use. When technically I deleted it and now I have no access to the old site. Smart ugh? Not really... To add insult to injury, when I am looking at my domains. My website that I would like to publish has a different domain linked to it. I tried to change the domain, but since the domain is still linked to the other account which I deleted it still identifies it as a duplicate.  How can I correct the two problems>

1.) Domain error duplicate from another account

2.) Business name does not match domain. The domain is for another website created, but pulls up the duplicate name website instead. If that makes since.

      I appreciate any help.

      Thank you!!

      Hi,

It looks like the domain name NWBCINC.com is already added on another wix account. Have you previously had someone design the site for you? Are you the domain owner of the domain?

Can you please provide us with a screen shot of an error message you are receiving? Are you receiving it when transferring your site from one account to another?

Please provide us with the exact name of the site and domain name you would like to connect to it.

      Thanks!

    Hi there,

I am trying to figure out how to transfer my domain from a different account to this account I am logged in to. When going through the transfer steps in the original account it brings up an error message stating that there is no associated email address? (or something similar). I read in your instructions that domain's which have an email address attached cannot be transferred? Is this still correct, and if so when is this going to be fixed as we need to start managing our domain from this account instead. Is there another way around this?

    The domain is www.kuricompanion.com

    Thank you

      Hey ja0852

Indeed- the reason is that it's attached to mail boxes.

It is not possible at the moment unfortunately, and I'm afraid we do not have an ETA for that feature or a workaround.

Hi, I registered the domain www.andrebollag.info through WIX a year ago. A month ago I deactivated the website in my account. Now I want to transfer the domain to a different registration company until I will design a new website with this address.

Can you please send me the transfer code? Or is there a way I can access this package again so I can do it myself?

    Thanks,

    Alain

      Hey marcorosselli79,

Unfortunately, we are unable to transfer your domain before 60 days from its registration has passed. Since your domain was registered on October 9th, we won't be able to transfer it until December 10th.

In the meantime, you can connect your domain to a non-Wix site with A records. For more information about how to create an A record, click here.

      Thank you for your understanding.

    Transfering back a website

Hello, I created another wix account in order to allow a customer from overseas to access to the site without sharing access to my other sites. I'm about to launch the site, which I build in my original account, were my other sites reside, so I need to transfer the domain from the new account to the old one and connect to the new site. How can I do all that? Thanks

      Hi,

I can see that your domain is no longer registered with Wix:

Nor are your records connected to Wix's records as can be seen here and here.

Please note that these domain changes may take up to 72 hours to fully propagate.

Please allow this time to pass and if the issue persists, contact us immediately.

To disconnect your domain from your Wix site, please ask your hosting company not to point your domain to the Wix IP address or disconnect it from the Wix Name Servers (NS1.WIX.COM and NS2.WIX.COM).

If you have a Wix domain, click here for instructions on how to transfer it to a different host.

    Hello,

I am in the process of transferring my domain away from Wix.  The company I am moving to says that the domain name is still unavailable.  I have private registration turned off and have received my transfer code.  Does Wix still need to UN-lock my domain or is there another reason my domain name is still unavailable?

Thank you in advance for your response.

      Hey Christie,

Are you trying to purchase your domain with your new host?

Please note that this domain cannot be purchased because you are already its owner- that is why it is unavailable.

      You need to transfer it.

Please check with your new domain hosting company what steps need to be taken in order to transfer your domain using the code we supplied you.

      Hi Yotam,

Thank you for your reply.  I have be going thru these transfer steps:

"Before starting the transfer, you must:

Contact your existing registrar to unlock your domain and get the authorization code.

      Make your administrative contact public.

Type your domain name in the box below and click the red arrow to proceed.

Check the box labeled "Yes, I'm authorized to initiate the transfer of registrar." and click "continue".  Follow the prompts on your screen to start the transfer request......"

I can't get to the check box "Yes, I'm authorized to initiate the transfer of registrar", because it tells me my domain is already registered.  I am then given the option to point my DNS away from Wix to the new the new host.

      I appreciate your time,

      Christie

I went back thru the transfer my domain away from Wix process, again.  I have received a new transfer code via email.  Still no good :(

The only difference I see is that where your tutorial wants my privacy protection to say public mine reads like this...

      Privacy Protection : Private, Off

I only have the options available to me to either turn it off or on, not make public.  Could this be this issue?
