To transfer a domain purchased through Wix to a different account: Sign in to your Wix account > from the top menu, click Subscriptions > click Domains > next to the relevant domain, click Manage.

Under Domain Summary, click the Advanced tab > on the right, click Transfer to a different Wix account > follow the instructions in the pop-up window.

    My current wix account is Roshgold Invest. Under it I have 2 websites. The old website that was being used by the company is www.roshgold.co.za. I would like to keep that domain but when i am trying to transfer the domain to my new website(which is upgraded to premium) it is saying that the domain is invalid. How do I go about doing this WITHOUT changing to a .COM as I would like to stay a .CO.ZA

      Just to be clear: You want to connect your domain to your html site "roshgold"? If so, there should not be a problem. You can either confirm and we will do it for you, or follow the instructions again.

    I currently have 2 websites on my wix account. My old wix account is www.roshgold.co.za and i have upgraded the combo account to premium. I would like to keep my old domain (www.roshgold.co.za) however cannot change it because the premium domain is .com

      I´m afraid I did not understand your question very well. If you want to transfer the domain from one site to another in the same Wix account, so you have to transfer the Premium Plan first.

    I need my domain back :)

    I have purchased a domain once before and is pretty sure it was through wix! Now Ive upgraded my account to premium and would like to use the old domain. But it just says that it is already taken... I don't know why my old site is gone, and my domain is no longer available? Is there any way you can check who is connected to the domain I'm looking for? If it is actually me I would like to find a way to start using it again. I think the purchase for this particular domain has expired a long time ago, but when I have upgraded again, I should be able to use it again? Should I not?

      I assume you refer to the domain fillyfjonka.com

      Please note that you have two accounts. The domain is located in the account 

      registered with fillyfjonka@gmail.com if you wish to use the domain within the other account, please follow the instructions above to transfer a Wix domain to another account.

    domain transfer


    I have an Wix account and developed sites in Wix(jyproducer.com) and I bought domain address from the godaddy.com.

    I created another sites in my same Wix account and I would like to transfer to my new sites.

    I don't know how to do this.

      Hello, Thank you for the response. 

      My new Wix site is not premium, and is that the reason doesn't show up? because I don't want to pay extra money since I already have a month plan.

      It only shows my current site.

      The premium plan is related to a specific site (no to an account). If you want to add a domain to a new site, you have to buy another premium plan. 


      To upgrade your document, please go to My Account > roll over the document > click Upgrade. You can find a video tutorial about how to upgrade and about Manage Premium here.

      Make sure that you purchase a package that allows connecting your own domain!

    I need to transfer an domain from one wix account to another one however the account I need to transfer from is not showing the transfer to another account. HELP

      Please note that the domain in your account was not purchased through Wix.

      If you'd like to use this domain in a different account, there is no need to transfer it. What you need to do is simply delete the domain from the account it's currently in and then add it to the other account. 


      To delete a domain name within your Wix account:
      1) Please go into the Wix Domain Manager (My Account > Manage Premium > Domains)
      2) Remove the domain by clicking the red X

        If I have a WIX website and I want to start fresh with a new one (editing the exsisting one is not working)

    How do I get my domain transferred to the new website?  Do I have to pay again??

      Hey agapebridal,


      You won't need to pay again. All you need to do is transfer the premium status from your old site to the new one, then reconnect your domain! 


      To move your premium status to another Wix site, simply click on "Packages" on the top bar on your "My Account" tab -> Click on "Transfer" under "Wix Site" -> choose the site you want the premium status to be transferred to.


      Please note that you will have to attach your domain to your updated site. You can do it via the Domain Manager when clicking on "Domains" on the top bar on your "My Account" tab -> Click "Manage" next to your domain -> Click "Change" next to "Wix Site" and choose the relevant site.

    I need to transfer a domain from my account to a clients account.  I previously connected the domain under a WIX template but the client decided to go with another template and takeover the site himself.  I need help to make the transfer work for hi as soon as possible.

      I can see that there are no Wix domains under your account, please note that the instructions in the Best Reply above are relevant only to Wix domains.


      To add one of your connected domains to your client's account you will first need to remove the domain from your account. To do so please go into the Wix Domain Manager (My Account > Manage Premium > Domains) and remove the domain by clicking the red X next to it.


      Once your domain is removed, ask your client to add the new domain by clicking 'Already have a domain?' from the domain manager under his account and to follow the instructions. Please note that your client will be able to connect the domain to his site only if his Wix site is upgraded as using a domain with a Wix site is a premium feature. For information about our premium packages, click here.

      We now have the salesvelocitypartners.com under our account after e renewed the payment method.  I still need to transfer this to another WIX account.  when I try to do this from my clients account I receive a message that says this domain is in use. How can this be remedied?

    I need to SPEAK with someone about my account ASAP!!!  I am trying to transfer my domain to networks solution.  They had me process a form to transfer my account from wholesale to retail, which I did.  Now the are advising me to contact you because they are unable to validate any of my WHOISIT information.  Please help me!!!!

      You gave them the transfer code you received to your email registered in the domain? 

      That should start the process. however your domain has only 10 days before the expiration date, it should have a min. of 15 days prior the expiration date so the transfer will work, the process itself can last up to 2 weeks. Please renew the domain, and then start the transfer again. 

      Your contact information is public, it should not be any problem with your whois information,

    I've used another wix account to access and buy the domain with my account email address. now my account is still showed no domain name registered. nor do I have the website editing works that the other account has done be shown on the registered domain name. how can I transfer the previous works to this registered domain site?

      You can transfer the site to this account or transfer the domain to the other account.

      What is the other account?

      We can help you transfer your work.

      Please just note that you cannot transfer premium plans from one account to another.


      You can easily transfer a Wix site, This process will create a copy in the other account.

      1. Go to "My Account" -> click on "Manage & Edit Site" next to the relevant site.
      2. Under "Site Actions" on the right side, click on "More" -> "Transfer Site".
      3. Add all relevant information and follow the steps.

    A wix website was transfered to my wix account but i am getting the error: Sorry, this domain name is used by another Wix user; However, the domain is transfered and I can update it.  

    Please advise.

      The domain in question is probably used by another account still and has to be disconnected in order to be used with your account.

      Please let us know what the domain in question is , so we can see if it is active or not. Preferably, ask the other account owner to disconnect the domain by going to "manage premium"> domains> click on the red X to disconnect the domain.
