The default payment plan for Wix domain subscriptions is autorenewal. If your domain is on a yearly renewal cycle, the payment will be attempted two days before the anniversary of your original payment. If the initial payment attempt fails, your domain name will expire on the anniversary of your original payment and your Wix site will no longer be accessible through the domain name.
 

Even though the domain name will have expired, the Wix domain subscription will remain active and our system will continue to attempt to collect payment. If payment is made successfully within the 30 day grace period, your domain name will be reactivated.

 

If payment is not made within the 30 day grace period, your domain name will be cancelled and will enter a redemption period lasting approximately 35 days. The redemption period is designed to give domain owners one last chance to retain their domain name before it becomes publicly available, however the cost of retrieving a domain during the redemption period is high ($250).

 

We strongly advise that users try to resolve payment issues before the domain enters the redemption period.

    Hi, our domain name ww.singaporewindsurfing.org had expired and was not renewed due to a change in bank card. We have since updated our payment/bank card details 2 days ago but the site is still down and it says the domain has expired. I've emailed to the wix support team 2 days ago but have not received a reply. We need the site updated urgently. Pls advise asap. Thanks.

      Hi,

       

      Please note that the domain singaporewindsurfing.org is not hosted by Wix. 

      According to Whois, your domain host is eNom. Please contact your domain host to renew your domain. As for the setting on the Wix-end - all is set up perfectly. As soon as your domain is renewed at your host's end and is connected to Wix's Nameservers, your Wix site will be connected to your domain.

    Hi,

    I have a business and I cant use my site.

    I am waiting for renewals, but I got some trouble. I call your assistance yesterday and they said that It will work today. But isnot working. What should I do????

    I need ASAP my web site!!!!!!!!

    can you help me, www.rccgcodph.com is still parked, paid for two years, you should have specified in the email for renewal of hosting that also our  domain name is to expire.

      It seems you are logged into a different account than the one you are referring to, as i see no domains under the account you are currently using. Please make sure you are logged in using the account you used to purchase the domain.

    I extend my domain for two years and paid for that on Dec 9th 2013. But it still says that my domain will expire on Dec 7th 2014 -- it should be Dec 9th 2015 instead. Please help.

    Hi,

    I paid the fee for my client's website Caro Ford careers www.carofordcareers.com.au with a valid credit card with plenty of funds in it. I was sent an email two days later saying that the payment wasnt received. I am confused. Can you please advise?

      Hi Emily, 

       

      The domain carofordcareers.com.au is not a Wix domain, please confirm with your domain host regarding that payment.

      What we are trying to charge is the Premium Plan of that site, but the payment with the credit card ending in 2965 : its not being approved by your bank. Please contact your bank / credit card or update the credit card so we can charge it with a different CC.

    My domain expired, but I have since renewed it within the 35 day timeframe. I am still having trouble finding it on the internet, even after I've cleared my cache. Is there anything else I can do to fix this issue?
