Wix's name servers are:

NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90)

NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 95.211.144.195)

When connecting your domain to Wix's name servers there are two important steps that you must complete.

1. Make sure that you have added the domain in your Wix account.
For more information, please click here.

2. Contact your domain host and ask them to connect your domain to Wix's the name servers (ns1.wix.com & ns2.wix.com).

Both of these steps are essential and the omission of either will result in a domain that is not properly connected.

      Hi,

On my end, your site loads without any problems.

I can see you recently connected your domain. Please note that after such a change, the domain is going into a propagation state. This means it might take up to 72 hours for the domain to be properly connected.

Please allow this period of time to pass. Should the problem persist after 72hrs, please let us know.

Don't hesitate to contact us again,

      Ella

      Hi,

I have accessed your mobile editor. Under the video there were some invisible objects.

You can locate all your page's elements by clicking at any of them and then pressing repeatedly Control + M (Command + M on Mac).

I have deleted the objects and saved the site without publishing it.

      Hey,

If you are connecting a domain purchased from an external host, we highly recommend connecting using the Name Servers method rather than Pointing. You can learn about the differences here.

Below you can see the DNS records that you need to use in order to connect your domain to Wix. (If you are not logged in, please log in first):

How about if I just really need to point it towards it for the interim (I realise it isn't the best option but I need to do it for now). It is incredibly difficult to contact my host so I will be changing host within a month or so, and will connect it then.

How do I point it - see my initial question regarding which ip address to use

      Hey,

Please note that the needed records can be found in the box above posted by Dean.

Once you have changed your settings with your domain host, please update your Wix Domain Manager.

Click here and follow the instructions beginning with Step 3 to update your Wix Domain Manager.

Important note: It may take up to 72 hours for the changes to take effect.

Hi, I connected my hostdepartment to my Wix site using the nameservers, and also emailed hostdepartment as well. They told me the site is properly connected, and occasionally so does Wix. But periodically I get this message:

This domain does not point to Wix!
    Domain Name:www.youcanhealanything.com
    Reason: Unknown host
Click here to learn how to setup the connection with the registrar. Or you can try using our domain connection troubleshooter.

    Why is this happening?

    • Barrios Wix Team

      Hi,

Please be patient. Pointing your domain to Wix might take up to 72 hours.

If more than 72 hours have passed and your domain still does not work, make sure that your Wix site is connected to your domain by doing the following:

      1. From Wix.com menu, hover over Subscriptions and click Domains.
      2. Under My Domains, you will see your domain name. If you see N/A under Connects To please click Manage.
      3. From the Domain Summary window, under Domain Connects To:, click Change.
      4. Select your Wix site and click Save.

After following these steps, please allow up to 72 hours for changes to get updated (propagate). If you are still having domain connection problems, try going through the troubleshooter.

We are here should you require further assistance

      Many thanks, Barrios

OK, I'll try it (again - I've already done this once before just after connecting the site over a week ago) ... I wrote to hostdepartment 4 days ago who replied with: 'It appears that the domain "youcanhealanything.com" is already pointing to the requested name servers and is working perfectly.' Sometimes the message on Wix says the site is connected, sometimes it gives me the message above which I copied into my original query. Why would it sometimes work, sometimes not? And should I periodically be doing what you have suggested? Thanks

We have had our domain hosted by an outfit called UntangleMyWeb.com  and they now refuse to provide any service (!) which is why we want nothing more to do with them.  Our new wix.com site is ready to use and I've paid for premium service. The only thing left is to move the domain but they flat REFUSE to help!  They sent me a set of instructions for doing-it-yourself at the back end of their site, but I don't understand it and nothing looks remotely like asking me simply to move my domain to the 2 wix.com name servers...  you'd think it would be easy, but I am not a tech person (that's why I went with wix.com!)
What can I do to get some help with this??

The problem with customizing with godaddy domain via nameservers using wix1.com and wix2.com is, if I am using a old domain name I owned that has alot of authority in the non www, using the above, the non www. does not automatically point to the www.  The only way I've found to get it to point to www. is to either a) do the 301 on godaddy which strips the custom nameservers wix1 and wix2 or pointing the @ record.  Is there a different way to do this?
