    can I connect .com.au domains

    Hi,

     

    From what I read it is not possible to connect using my existing .com.au domain.

    When is this feature planned to be available?

    Help Me!

    My site was working until yesterday but now it says there are problems in the domain. How can I solve this problem. Site name www.eykim.net

      Thank you for contacting the Wix support team!

      Note that it may take up to 72 hours for the changes to fully propagate throughout the systems.

       

      I have visited your domain and I see it is correctly directed to your Wix site. Your site works perfectly!

      If you are still having trouble viewing your site, please try doing the following:

      1) Go here and click on "Delete all sites". Then clear your browser's cache.

      For step-by-step instructions about how to clear your browser's cache, please follow this link.
      You can also find a video tutorial here.

      2) Try to Flush your DNS. For detailed instructions on how to do so please go here.

      3) Please go to the Windows start menu->click on 'run'-> select the first option: 'Run'-> type: 'ping yourdomain.com'->A window will pop with an IP address. Please run this test from several computers.

      For Mac users: Go to ‘Application’ then open ‘Terminal’ and type: 'ping yourdomain.com'->A window will pop with an IP address. Please run this test from several computers.

      -If you receive an IP address on your computer other than the IP you see here and you see this IP from other computers please contact an IT expert in your area for further troubleshooting.

      -If you receive a different IP than the IP you see here from multiple locations, please send it to us in order for us to check it.

    question about domain

    Hey guys,

     

    I have a domain www.hrif.nl which is connected to http://noemiczka.wix.com/hrif.

    Is it possible that the url www.hrif.nl stays visible in stead of the wix url?

      Your site is displaying the Wix URL because your domain hrif.nl is not connected yet to Wix.

       

      To fix this, we ask that you follow the instructions here.

      Please note that we recommend for you to connect your domain via Name Servers as explained in option 1 of the linked instructions.

    Hey,

    My domain manager can't use DNS address to connect my own domain to my site.

    I have already purchase the unlimited package.

    My domain manager need the IP address of the server that host my site.

      I troubleshooted your domain and was able to see that your pointing configuration in your registrar (not Wix, but your actual domain host) is incorrect.

    Hello,

    I recently transferred my domain musicboxpete.com from another service provider to Wix on Sunday and it still says "Pending Registry Approval" when I log on to my Wix account to check the status. Is there any way to speed up the process or check on the status to see what's taking this long? Is there something else I need to do to complete the process? I completed all the steps they told me.

      The domain name has been submitted to your registrar to finalize the transfer. You will get an email from your current registrar approving your transfer request. In this step, you will need to confirm the transfer request. Please note that a response may take up to 7 days.

    i've upgraded to premium but still have a 60 day limitation so need to point my website? 

    how can i get my IPaddress to the wix website i've created?

      Hi!

       

      I can see that you have properly assigned your domain to your Premium site, however, the pointing configuration with your registrar isn't updated with the Wix name servers.

       

      In order to complete the domain connection process, please ask your hosting company (where you purchased your domain name from) to point your domain to the Wix server using the following cnames:

       

      ns1.wix.com

      ns2.wix.com

       

      Note that once they have made the changes, the domain can take 72 hours to fully propagate.

    Domain transfer

    I bought a domain from yahoo and i couldn't transfer, because it has to have a 60 days life, is there any way to do that before 60 days?

      Hello,

       

      If you can't transfer due to the 60 day regulation, there is a way to "connect" your domain to Wix during this period. By connecting your domain to Wix, you will able to get more support from Wix regarding connection issues and you will have control of your domain management. Please note that connecting domain to Wix might take around 48 to 72 hours after initiating the process.

    IMPLICATIONS OF CONECTING MY OWN EXTERNAL DOMAIN TO MY WIX WEBSITE

    I would like to use my own 123-Reg domain for the wix website I recently designed. Is there any implications in doing so, would it affect my 123-reg domain in any ways, shape or forms?

    So the website is not really free, either way you need to pay the premium fee, right? if you want a sub web URL then its free, but not your own site... like you advertise right?

    I am puzzled cos I am sure your add reads:  

    "Create Your Own Website

    http://www.wix.com/htmlsites/-click-here

    It's Free!"

      We do have a premium offer for a small fee that enables our users to get more storage and bandwidth if they need it, the option to remove the Wix tags, and the option to connect their Wix design to their own domain name.


      You can find out more about it here .

       

      If you don’t need any of these options then you can use it for free as much as you like.
