    Many thanks in advance,

      Hi Jerome,

Thank you for contacting Wix support, we are happy to help. You will have to contact your current domain host concerning information about your domain. However please note that the 60 days waiting period is an ICANN regulation applying to everyone.

Please do not hesitate to contact us again if you need further assistance.

I followed the steps to connect my domain name from GoDaddy to my new Wix template. This was done yesterday. I was supposed to receive an email for approval and have not received one. I checked status and it shows pending approval. Is there a step I missed? Or something else that needs to be done on my end to get it to process?

    Thanks for the help

      Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Wix support team!

Your domain appears in your domain list with the status Pending Verification.

Note that during this process a few important emails will be sent to the email address that you had indicated when signing up with your old registrar.

It may take up to 24 hours for Wix to verify your domain transfer.

After Wix verifies your transfer, you will get an email from your current registrar approving your transfer request. Your domain status will then change to Pending Registry Approval

Verify that the email address for the domain admin/registrant is your own email address, as we will send a confirmation email to that address once the transfer is initiated. This email will expire after 5 days, so we recommend that you confirm the domain transfer as soon as possible. You can check your domain admin/registrant e-mail address(es) via the WHOIS database here.

You'll receive an email from support@wix.com, asking you to confirm your transfer request. The subject of the email is "DOMAIN NAME TRANSFER - Initial Authorization for Registrar". You must open this email (check your spam folder) and click Confirm within 5 days after the transfer request. If you do not confirm the email, the transfer process cannot be completed.

It may take up to seven days for the Registry to approve your transfer.

For more information and step-by-step instructions on how to tranfer your domain to Wix please click here.

Note that I was able to see that you have currently now premium plan under your account, note that in order to connect your domain to your Wix site you will need to purchase a premium plan.

Feel free to contact us if you require further assistance

      Many thanks, Barrios

      Hello,

Please note that your domain fm.com.sa will be connected to your site within 72 hours.

Please reply if you still do not see your site under this domain after this period.

Replied by Alina July 5, 2014

      Hey,

      Please note that your domain
fm.com.sa is not properly connected to your Wix site. To connect a domain to a Wix site, we recommend connecting the name servers (NS) to Wix. This means that the domain is still located at the original host (where you purchased your domain name from), but the domain redirects to the Wix site.
When you connect your domain to Wix by nameservers, we can offer support and assist you in creating any DNS records you might need.

To solve this problem simply send your domain hosting company (where you purchased your domain name from) the following message:

"I have built a site on Wix.com. Please connect my domain to their Name Servers - NS1.WIX.COM (IP address 216.139.213.90) and NS2.WIX.COM (IP address 95.211.144.195)"

After sending your message, please allow up to 72 hours for changes to take effect (propagate).

Please let us know should you require any further assistance and we will be happy to help you.

      Hi!

I can see that you have properly assigned your domain to your Premium site, however, the pointing configuration with your registrar isn't updated with the Wix name servers.

In order to complete the domain connection process, please ask your hosting company (where you purchased your domain name from) to point your domain to the Wix server using the following cnames:

      ns1.wix.com

      ns2.wix.com

Note that once they have made the changes, the domain can take 72 hours to fully propagate.

Let us know if you require any further assistance!

Replied by Danna July 4, 2014

      Hi!

We indeed currently don'y host .com.my extensions. However, what you could do, is to maintain your existing domain subscription and simply have it point to your Wix site!

To connect your Wix site to your domain, you will need to upgrade to one of the following premium plans:

      - Connect Domain Plan (this plan does not remove Wix ads)
      - Combo Plan
      - Unlimited Plan
      - eCommerce Plan

To learn more about our premium plans and what they include, please click here.

If you have already purchased a domain from another hosting company, click here to learn how to connect it to your Wix site.

In order to complete the process, you will need to ask your current hosting company (the company you purchased your domain name from), to point your domain to the Wix server using the following CNAMES: ns1.wix.com & ns2.wix.com.

I hope this helps! Please feel free to contact us again for any future assistance!

    Hi,

I've recently completed building a website, purchased a premium account from yourselves and purchased a domain from 123.reg.co.uk (http://www.invernessfireplaceandheatingcentre.co.uk) I sorted the pointing on 123 reg side after speaking to their support line and thought that would be it as they removed the hostgator part. The problem is when I enter my web address into google it sends me to a blank page and not my website and having spoke to 123 again they have said everything is set on their side and that I should contact WIX to make sure it's properly set on here. I have followed all the relevant instructions to the best of my knowledge but still no further forward. Any help would be gratefully received.

    Cheers!

    Hi,

I've recently completed building a website, purchased a premium account from yourselves and purchased a domain from 123.reg.co.uk (www.nottinghamenglishlanguagetuition.co.uk). I changed the named servers and received an email from WIX to say that my domain is now linked to WIX and when I go into 'domains' and click on my site it seems to suggest that it is linked. However, when I enter my web address into google it sends me to a 123.reg.co.uk blank page and not my website. I am unsure what to do to get my website live now as I think I have followed all the relevant instructions. Any help would be gratefully received.

      Hello Ian,

      Thank you for contacting us.

Your domain www.nottinghamenglishlanguagetuition.co.uk properly points on your Wix site on my end:

If you are still having trouble viewing your site, please try doing the following:

      3) Please go to the Windows start menu->click on 'run'-> select the first option: 'Run'-> type: 'ping yourdomain.com'->A window will pop with an IP address. Please run this test from several computers.

For Mac users: Go to ‘Application’ then open ‘Terminal’ and type: 'ping yourdomain.com'->A window will pop with an IP address. Please run this test from several computers.

-If you receive an IP address on your computer other than the IP you see here and you see this IP from other computers please contact an IT expert in your area for further troubleshooting.

      Hi Or,

I've tried all of the suggestions you have made and flushed my dns, cleared my browser cache and tried to the ping (a black screen appears and it runs some tests but then disappears). I have entered my address into google again and it still links to a 123.reg.co.uk page and not my website. I have no idea why it isn't 'live' as I have followed all the instructions and it appears to be working from your end to. I'm not particularly computer savvy so any further help would be appreciated as I would like my website to be searchable and live as soon as possible.

      Hi Ian,

Thank you for your patience with this matter.

Please note as this domain is new, it may take up to 72 hours for the DNS (general name for the technical settings of your domain name) changes to propagate throughout the internet. Right now on my end your site is pulling up very nicely, you can expect the same result on and off on your end and after 72 hours at the most it should work all the time.

Should you require any further assistance or if this issue persists, please don't hesitate to contact us again,

    Hi

I have followed your step by step instructions, on how to connect my domain (Purchased elsewhere) to my premium wix site, i know its only been 48 hours, but this message i get is making me think thats theres something wrong:

    "Domain Name:flexxed.co.uk
Reason: Domain does not point to wix.com
Click here to learn how to setup the connection with the registrar. Or you can try using our domain connection troubleshooter."

I don't want to wait 3 days to find out it hasn't worked, when i could of just tried again and see if it works the second time.. but then i'm guessing i would have to wait another 3 days!

      Hi flexxedmedia,

Thank you for contacting us regarding your domain flexxed.co.uk

Your domain is in fact not connected yet to Wix.

At this time, you are set up on our end. All that is left for you to do is connect your domain to Wix from www.123-reg.co.uk.

You can see in your Whois records here that your domain's names servers are pointing to 123-reg.co.uk instead of to Wix.

To fix this, please email (or call) your domain host 123-reg.co.uk with the following:

"I have built a site on Wix.com. Please connect my domain to their name servers- NS1.WIX.COM and NS2.WIX.COM"

      For further instructions click here.

Keep in mind that connecting your domain to Wix might take up to 72 hours.

Feel free to contact us again should you require any further assistance.

      All the best, Ellie

Can i use my current domain for my wix site?

Hello, I am in South Africa (our domains end as .co.za), our company designed a new site using Wix and we now want to connect it to a domain name and publish the site live... BUT you do not offer the option of us choosing a domain name ending in .co.za. this is a slight problem for us as our company has been around for 11 years and everyone knows our website as www.vereticulation.CO.ZA so if we change it now it will cause a lot of confusion.

Is it possible for us to use our existing domain name (www.vereticulation.co.za) hosted elsewhere, and connect it to our Wix site?

I understand we will have to upgrade to a premium package and cancel our other hosting so that they can release the domain name but before i do that i want to first make sure i can then use our CURRENT name and connect it to our Wix site.

I'd really appreciate your help in this regard.

    thanks

      Hi René,

Thank you for contacting Wix support, we are happy to help.

You can connect your .co.za domain to Wix using the instructions in the best reply above. Please note that you will have to keep it registered with your current domain host as it will only be connected to Wix and not transferred to Wix.

In order to connect a domain you will need to upgrade the website you would like to use with your domain. You can find instructions here.

I want to keep the same Domain name www.somerset-hotel-motel.com.au

I just want to make sure before I purchase or upgrade to premium that it is possible to keep my original domain (www.somerset-hotel-motel.com.au) with the site i created in wix. Am am after the basic plan, around $5 a month. Does it matter what package I purchase if I need to keep my original Domain name? And I guess I will still have to pay for the Domain where i originally purchased it from?

Is this the correct way to do it? http://www.wix.com/support/forum/html5/domains-emails-and-my-account/connecting-my-domain-to-wix/how-can-i-connect-my-domain-purchased-4

      Hi somersethotel,

Thank you for contacting us, we are happy to help! Yes, this is the way to connect your domain - please find the instructions above in the best reply.

You can connect your domain with every plan we offer. The Connect Domain plan (in contrast to all other plans) however does not remove Wix ads from your website - it enables connecting a domain only.

Connecting your domain means that you will have to keep your domain with your host and therefore you will have to pay your domain host for your domain.

Please do not hesitate to contact us again if you need further assistance.
