If you would like to delete a Free account, please delete all of the sites associated with your account and add your details in this link.
 

If you have purchased a Premium plan and wish to cancel your Wix account, you will need to do the following:

1. Cancel any existing premium plans in the account that you would like to cancel.

Note: You will need to wait until your premium plan expires before your account can be canceled.

2. Delete any sites in your account. To learn how, click here.

3. Transfer any Wix domains to another account or another domain host. To learn how to transfer your domain to another Wix account, click here

Once all premium plans have been canceled, all sites deleted and all domains transferred, please add your details in this link.

 

Note: Canceling your Wix premium plan will not cancel any domain, app or mailbox subscriptions that you have with Wix. You can cancel your domain, app, or mailbox subscription via the Billing & Payment section of your account.

    I cancelled my account two days ago. Will I receive any type of email notification that you have acknowledged my cancellation? The only thing I see is that I cancelled the account in the subscription area. An acknowledgement would be helpful since I am trying to stay within the 14 day cancellation time, and I want to be sure that you received everything on your end.

      We got your cancellation request on Aug 13, 2014 and it was successfully canceled.
      According to our policy refund you have been canceled your premium plan within the first 14 days of trial.

       Please allow up to 20 business days for your refund to appear on your credit card statement.

      Hi manywaystosave,

       

      Thank you for contacting us. Please note that you still have a premium plan for which the cancelation will be done on Feb 11, 2015. You won't be able to delete your account until your premium plan expires, however you can delete your sites and transfer away your domains

    This site was not what I thought it was, so please cancel my account. The ad seemed unclear, had to take a chance on signing up to  find out what it did or didn't do. Thank you.

      Hi,

      Unfortunately, no.

      Once will cancel your Wix account, we will not be able to retrieve the account.

      May I ask why you want to cancel your Wix account?

       I can see you canceled the premium package.

       We never remove/destroy websites. If you go back to free from premium you’ll simply have your original Web address and Wix ads but you will still have full control of your site.

      Please wait until the 26th of August for the third party premium upgrade to expire, so that the site can be deleted. In the meanwhile the site has been unpublished. You can re-publish at any time.

    I would like to cancel my account but would like to back-up my site first? Please assist as I would like to activate it again at a later stage?

      Hi dianethake,

       

      If you cancel your account, your website will be deleted too. If you would like to activate your website later on, I would recomand to keep your account or before deleting it, send your account to another Wix account (with a diferent email adress) in order to have an acces to your Wix site for later work on it.
