If your information is within the website it will be published as your site is public. Should you refer to information that is not on your site, please elaborate on the issue so we can help you.

To find out how to hide individual pages on your site from search engines, please click here.

Whenever you make changes and publish your site, these changes need to be crawled again by search engines (such as Google) before they appear in search results. If the pages have already been indexed, you will need to wait for search engines to update their database before the pages are removed.

Note: If you choose to password protect a page, this, too, will prevent search engines from crawling and indexing that page. This means that password protected pages will not appear in search results. For more information on password protecting pages, click here.

To hide your whole site from search engines, from the left of your Editor, click the 'Settings' tab (the gear icon) > Click SEO (Google) > Click the toggle next to 'Allow Search Engines to find my site' (make sure it is red)  > Publish your site.

      Best, Ritti

I can see your privacy protection is Public.

If you purchased the option to make your information private, you can temporarily turn the privacy protection option on and off.

Please note that this would result in a temporary change only. If you choose to keep your information private when purchasing, the option will always remain a part of your domain purchase, even when renewing. Conversely, if you don't choose the option to make your information private when purchasing, it will always remain public and you will not have the option to change it to private, even when renewing.

    For more information, click here.
(If you cant follow the instructions and you purchased the option to make your information private, please contact us by a private topic)

I, too, am concerned about the security of my personal information. I have been using WIX for awhile now and am ready for my own domain. I was quoted a particular price on the following page: https://premium.wix.com/wix/api/packagePicker?wsess=c3f6ef7f-9aa0-4fa5-af8d-088ffbf9ecaa. I agreed to the price, supplied my credit card information, and then was told that unless I consented to additional charges my name, address and phone number would be available on the internet for anyone to access. I think these frustrations would be slighlty eased if there were an easy way to directly contact WIX instead of posting questions on the website. It sounds like you are saying that we can edit our personal info, but since I am not sure exactly what that means (can I leave all fields blank and have NO personal information available to others?) and I read that it is not possible to revert back to private registration once you have already registered publicly, I am understandably apprehensive about doing it. Are my concerns legitimate and, if so, how does WIX plan to address them?

    Hey americanbornrepublic,

I see that your domain provider is Network Solutions. Please email them or call them at  +1-570-708-8788 for assistance in making your domain private.

In addition, you can access the editor and click Settings above, click the site optimization tab and edit the information so it does not include private details.

I want, not would like, all my personal information, such as my full name unsearchable! PERIOD!  Forget about “who is”...  And your response to the privacy of a credit card?  Credit card?  If you people gave out that information about me, you defiantly would be talking to my attorneys. Like a fool, I purchased my domain through Wix.  Where is this so called option to protect my privacy and identity? I want it now! My domain if controlled through you and I cannot call the provider as you suggested in one of your post.  You, in a sense are my provider. I did a search on my domain and bam! WTF! There is my full name!  This is Bull S__t!  I am so pissed at you Wix people.

Your website, as you've mentioned, has been deleted. It is not accessible because it has been deleted although it  can be seen in search results at the moment. It will be completely removed by Google the moment they crawl the net again and notice that your site isn't there anymore.
