    Site will not load - only white screen

    I have searched and see this has come up before, but I would request clarification.  On some computers the page will not load - only white screen.  Source code there, but nothing on screen.  I use Chrome, but have tried in Explorer as well.  Works on my home laptop, other private laptops, ipads, and mobile, but not at work place  My concern is if this is common for anyone that may be trying to pull the site up from something other than a private computer, where there may be extra security measures in place that cannot be changed.  The site is www.atlanticflorida.com   Love working with your product.  I am assisting in marking property and it is important that I know why this happens and if it happens or more computers than not -- based on whatever the issue is.  Thank you.

    hi - i'm having the same white screen problem. i have built a site on wix with my macair. using chrome i can view the final site and it is all running fine. my wife went to log onto the site, in chrome, on her sony vaio. all she gets is a white screen. I have cleared the cache, browsing history, restarts, restored chrome back to original settings and it still has just a white screen. i've right clicked on the white screen and can view the source code so i know the site is there but there seems to be no reasonable explanation for why the site is not veiwable. all other sites i view on the sony work fine...just this wix one. it seems you may have some sort of bug in your coding? it's a problem that you need to find a sensible solution to as i can't have my site running thinking that people are able to view it......

      I'm deeply sorry for this inconvenience. 

      I have checked your site and was able to view it properly on my end with Google Chrome browser. Have you tried to view the site with a different browser?  Also, please make sure that she is using the most updated Chrome browser on her computer (the current version is 35).  


      Please follow the instructions provided here. I assume you have already performed some of the steps provided in the link. However, if you haven't done, please follow the instructions.

      Can I check what site you looked at when it was all fine your end?

      We have checked the site in both chrome and IE on the sony vaio and both do the same thing....white screen with no content showing so its not a problem specific to the browser.

      In addition to all the things listed in my first email, we have now uninstalled the internet security program and still it does not work.

      If it's not working for us how many of our customers will it not be working for?

      ok so I have a mac air and i can access the site in chrome and safari fine, both on my home and work network. in firefox, the product images do not display properly. i can also access the site via my iphone and ipad.

      i can access the site on an old dell pc laptop and an even older g4 ibook

      on the sony vaio in chrome and IE there is nothing but the blank white screen, not matter what network its on. is there a problem with wix running on windows 8? on the sony i can log into wix but it won't even load the editor???

      IE is version 11. Chrome is 35.

      That is kind of irrelevant though as my customers might be running older versions and not be able to see the site either. The site should be viewable in all versions of atleast IE 7 onwards and all chromes versions.

      Can you answer the question in my previous email..is there is an issue with wix sites running on the windows 8 operating system

      Wix has no built-in issue with Windows 8 or any of the browsers you mentioned.

      Wix supports all major browsers (including IE, Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari), and all of those browsers support the ability to export favorites and bookmarks to the newly installed browser.

      on the sony vaio in chrome (35) and IE (11) there is nothing but the blank white screen, no matter what network its on. on the sony i can log into wix but then it won't load the editor???

      really need a resolution to this now...this is my 5th post and no-one has offered any useful advice yet. you just keep telling me 'i can see it fine my end'

      there shouldn't be any reason for any of the content to be blocked even if i had tough security settings

      please can somebody look into this properly to see if this happening regularly (from the posts here it seems a common issue) and what the resolutions are rather than vague irrelevant responses to fob people off? - i didn't mention anything about favourites or bookmarks so why respond with that!!!!!

      They will look into the issue. Regarding the missing products in firefox in your mac. This seems like a local issue which should easily be solved by clearing your browser's cache.

      I would like to do a log me in session in order to see this issue from your computer, could you please tell me when are you available for a log me in session . 


      From my experience in the past, this issue was caused due to malwares installed on that specific computer.

    Hi I have the same problem with viewing my web page and others that mention the same issue on large corporations computers. For example when I put in

    www.illuminatedyouconsulting.com or my site www.totalminesolutions.com.au I get the white page

    I just get a white page that does not work. I can load my wix account and I can go to editor and preview my site on a IE9 browser using these work computers. But type in my domian and again my site will not load up even in Chrome on a work computer, it is fine from my personal and other friends personal computers, but I need large corporations with extra security setting and firewalls to be able to see my site. I can pretty much load up anything from the work computer and unless its restricted it will allow it or atleast come up with a warning message. Many organisations do not allow their employees to change security settings and most people are not that tech advanced to try to change the security settings, so if the site does not load then its bye bye for my site and potential business.

    Wix templates are great to work with, but from a business perspective if Wix can not make them viewable on a large number of older browsers then I and I am sure a large number of people will have to go elsewhere.

    Is there a way to change the settings in wix or do you have non HTML5 that can be seen by a number of browsers including older browsers as this limitation is too unflexiable on not business smart to stick with

      Thank you for contacting Wix support.

      I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing difficulties.


      There is no apparent reason why Wix sites should not be able to load on your computers.

      this not a known issue and there are plenty of users that we know for sure are able to access their Wix sites through their work computers, so I believe this issue to be solvable in your case as well.


      I would suggest that you contact your office's IT department and ask them to look at this issue, and see if the office network is set to block specific sites, servers or IP addresses.


      Let us know if there is anything we can do to help on our end.

    I am also experiencing this. I had posted under a different question in the forum a few days ago and got advice, but nothing is working. When I type in my domain name www.illuminatedyouconsulting.com, my computer shows that I am connected to my website, but the screen is completely white....totally blank. My network connection is fine. I can access all other sites on the internet except my own. I have tried with internet explorer, in chrome and in firefox with the same results in all browsers. I have gone through my computer, deleted unwanted programs, scanned for malware and other security issues and  checked my anti virus protection. I have tried using a private browsing window on each browser to bring up the site and also typed in https:// before my domain name in each browser. That brings up an error saying : Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.illuminatedyouconsulting.com. Chrome says: This webpage is not available. Internet explorer still brings up a blank page. I am at a loss since other computers in the house and outside of the house can bring up my site just fine. I can access it on my tablet using chrome and my iphone. However I need to use my office computer  which I spent days on building my site ,in order to access my site. I cannot view it even when I go into my wix account and click view my site. I cannot edit my site through the wix editor because it just continuously appears to be loading. When I try to exit out of the wix editor it says that my unsaved changes will not be saved even though it shows it's still loading. I have updated my flash player, java and my browsers to the most recent versions.

    Please, do you have ANY other advice as to how to fix this? I need to access my site from this computer!

      First, we would like to apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused. Unfortunately, as we cannot recreate this issue on our end and following your account of events, we must conclude that this is a local issue on your computer.

      To help us try and pinpoint the issue on your end, please follow the instructions provided here.

      If the steps in the link didn't resolve your issues, please answer the questions in the same link.

      Regarding the HTTPS error message, Wix sites don not have an SSL secure version, therefore accessing them using the HTTPS prefix is not possible.

      Unfortunately the fault may lie at any stage of many processes occurring on your computer simultaneously, and without access to your computer we cannot pinpoint the exact cause. 

      You've previously mentioned this is an office computer - if possible, I suggest you contact your office's IT department and ask them to look at this issue, and see if the office network is set to block specific sites, servers or IP addresses.

    keep in mid that the account that holds your website "atlanticflorida.com" is   sherrimcd@gmail.com and not   sherrimcd33@gmail.com

    the account "  sherrimcd33@gmail.com" doesn't have saved websites in it. 

    moreover, it seems that your website http://www.atlanticflorida.com/ works as expected, are you still facing the problem ?

    Great - Now I can't even get to my site from the computer I built the site on.  I have tried to log in.  I got in once, it would not add a page.  Logged off and now it will not show my site.  Cleared cache. Please help.  Very frustrating.

    Nicole - Thank you.  I have reviewed all of the above.  I have one last question that I am confused about.  The computer (at work) that the site will not pull up from is Windows XP operating system. I can't download FireFox here, but I do have Chrome and use that as my browser and this same problem arises with Chrome.  Is the XP operating system the problem here?  It seems your response is about IE browsers and the different versions.  So, if I am not using IE, but instead Chrome and have the same problem is there a way to resolve it at the site.  Again, my concern is we are marketing this property globally and if it is this difficult to pull it up on large system computers it could be a problem.

    I also checked the technical side and your domain is connected correctly.

    Please note: Wix is compatible with Internet Explorer (version 9 and above), Firefox, Chrome and Safari.

     You can easily check how well your current browser supports HTML5 here.

    You can also check out this site to see a detailed look at which browsers are better optimized for HTML5. 

    1. Microsoft does not support IE9 on Windows XP. If you're using Windows XP, we suggest you use another browser. We hope Microsoft will provide a solution for supporting HTML5 in the Windows XP Operating System soon.
