SEO for Your Free Website
SEO, or Search Engine Optimization, is the method of driving traffic to a website from visitors using search engines like Google. It's about getting your website to pop up on the list of search results, when someone types in a search for your business, product or service. This article will outline the basic components of a successful SEO campaign.
1. Making Friends with RobotsBefore you even begin to entertain dreams of grandeur for your website, make sure your website is readable by search engine "crawlers", little robots that read and process the text inside a website. Websites built with Wix are search-engine-friendly. This is because although they are built using Flash technology, the Wix platform creates HTML versions of your website’s content, which can and does get indexed by Googlebot and the other search engine crawlers.
2. Using Keywords

“Keywords” are the words or groups of words that people type in search engines like Google, Yahoo! and such. Make a list of keywords that describe your website, your product or service. Try to imagine what someone is likely to enter into a search. It’s also worth including a regional keyword, such as your city or state, if you are providing a local service. For example, “new york wedding photographer” makes more sense to rank for (and is probably easier) than the general “wedding photographer”.Instead of coming up with a list of keywords off the top of your head, you can do a little bit of research and see which words are being searched for the most. There are plenty of online tools for keyword research, including Google's free Keyword Tool.
3. MetadataThere are two types of content you want your site to have. The first is regular content you see on your actual pages: your About page, descriptions of your products, services, team, etc.
A second type of content is your website’s “metadata”. This is part of your website’s code, that won’t be seen by visitors who land on your website. It will be seen on the pages of a search result. Metadata is for search engines to understand what your site is about.
In a search result page (SERP), the Title metadata is the clickable link that points to your website.
The Description metadata is the text under the clickable Title.

Adding metadata to a website is easy if you’re working with the free website builder by Wix, through the Settings tab. From here you can enter in your own Title and Description text.

4. Text and HeadersThere’s a phrase commonly used in SEO circles: “Content is King”. In order to rank for your keywords, they must appear on your site. Use them in your on-page text, in both paragraphs and headers. Be sure to integrate them organically into your text. Meaning, don’t make it obvious that you’re doing exactly what you’re doing. This means don’t “stuff” keywords into your text where they don’t make sense, or will irritate a reader. Mix them in naturally. Many SEO’s recommend a keyword density of 1-3%, meaning out of a pages total text, 1-3% are keywords. This number is just a ballpark figure, and not a strict rule. Longer sections of text can have more keywords, but if you have a page with only 200 words, it only makes sense to use a keyword once or twice. Google can spot spammy, keyword-packed text so keep it classy.
5. Quality Backlinks“Content is king” is not the only SEO mantra. “Linkbuilding” is also key. Having other websites link back to your site increases its visibility to search engines. If no one links to you, you might as well not exist, and search engine crawlers may not see your site in the first place.
Here are a few simple ways to increase your inbound links:
Dmoz-
Submit your URL to directories, like . (It can take a long time for your request to be processed) Ask friends and clients with relevant websites to link from their websites to yours. Be active on blogs and forums, offering answers to questions or comments and include links back to your site.
These are just some tips for optimizing your free website. Remember: the purpose of SEO is to make it easier for search engines to understand what your site is about, so that they can offer search users the best, most relevant results. Keep your end users in mind as you tweak your website to make it perform better in search. For more SEO tips and tricks for Wix websites, visit Promote Your Site on the Wix Blog.

I'd say make use of Social Media and Social Network. If you participate and give true information to people in the web, it will be a cinch after.
