Usually it takes anywhere from 1 to 3 months for Google to update its database and for your site to be indexed. Finding your site using your relevant keywords may take even more time.

Keywords are a competitive market and top companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to ensure their keywords come up at the top of the search results. SEO requires a long-term outlook and commitment. Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that Google will choose to rank your website highly, this part is up to you.

Please use the following points to help maximize your standing with Google and with other search engines.

1. CONTENT and HEADING: There should be at least 400 words on your home page. Make sure you have a heading, located near the top on your homepage, and include your business / website's name / main keywords. For further details please click this link

3. LINKS: Be sure to have other relevant sites contain "inbound links" to your site. A single, quality link from a popular site is better than a large amount of poor quality links. By adding content via the many social networks and then linking back to your website is a fantastic way to give yourself a backlink from a respected website. Google loves new and updated content. Continue to add content to your website, social network sites and blog e.g. articles, information, updates, videos, images etc.

Remember to keep using your keywords within the content you add. Make sure your content is relevant and of quality, Google hates spam.

Locations are best to appear as keywords, please edit your site, click settings on top, click 'site optimization', write the city names as keywords, it is best to also write there what is the service you offer, 2-3 city names would be just fine. Be sure to save your changes.

MIght be best to also focus on getting your Google Places listings up and running as they are the major driver to appearing in local SERPs.

If i follow all these steps, are you sure that i will get a good rank. in Google SERP..

I have to agree. I built my website in february and in a period of 2 months I am already in the first page if local people search services like mine in our City. Ive listed my company in Google, Yahoo, Yelp...and there are lots of website have listed me in theier without even doing anything on my part. Craiglists helped a lot too.

So, really it is up to the keywords you put in your website...and the more people go to your website the higher the chance youll get a rank in Google. facebook is good link to your website. I love wix, is all I can say!
