You can now create a password login for individual pages on your Wix website!
    To do so:
    1. Go to the Page Manager (right of the editor).
    2. Roll over the Page and click on the drop-down menu arrow.
    3. Click Password from the drop-down menu.
    4. Type in a password and click Set. Don't forget to Save your document!
For more information on Pages, click here.

If you meant adding an option to log in to your site with a password - this feature is on our development roadmap and will be built in order of priority. Priority is based on the popularity of our Wishlist items, which is full to overflowing with your good ideas and feedback!

Hi, followed Nicole's advice but only my Home Page gave me the option to add a password, why don't my other pages offer this option?

Are you guys financially ok?  You're making me nervous with all the "Help" changes

We are doing better than ever @FootStride! Our help keeps changing to try and provide the best support services for you and our other users. We feel that we can accomplish a lot more with this new help forum.

You can password protect both your Master Pages and you Pages in your site. You will see the same arrow pops up with the same options when you place your mouse to the right of your Page title in the Page Manager.

Hi Shauna, If you go to my site you will see for yourself that the only page that allows me to add a password is the Home Page, I want to add a password to the "Practitioners" page.

    Thanks

    Vicki

In order to add the password, please first click the Practitioners page and then try to add the password through the Page Manager.

Hi everyone, I figured out why I could only add a password to the home page and none of the other pages......I was working in Google Chrome and this wasn't the 1st time I've had a problem when using Chrome.  I simply switched to Mozilla and then was able to make my changes.

Something everyone should keep in mind.

    E-commerce password protection

I wish to the e-commerce would get a password protection -feature. I would wan't only my actual customers to see my prices, not my competitors. It would be a bit extranet-like thing.

    Good afternoon,

Can you let me know if I can create a password for each of our clients? The login and password should lead them to a specific area where they will see the progress of their own project.

    Hello,

It is not possible at the moment. You would have to create a new account and transfer the document to it. .

    1. Simply go to My Account > rollover your Wix & click edit.
    2. Leave the site open.
    3. Go back to Wix.com > My Account and log out. (Top right hand corner)
    4. Login with your other account.
    5. Then in the editor go to File > Save as.
*Note: You must change the name of the site to a different name.
Your Wix site will appear in the My Account of the other username.

Please note that you can only transfer the site. It isn't possible to transfer a premium package from one account to another.

P.S. If you want to use your own domain e.g. www.myname.com, please check out our premium upgrade options here

    Hello,

Is there any way possible for us to use HTML in order to make a login page by chance?

    Hey Rika,

It is not currently possible to add a membership/registration form using Wix. For now, you can try using Authpro.com to add a membership registration to your site/specific page. However, please note that this is not a Wix product - just a possibility that we are aware of - and Wix makes no guarantees that it will work. Feel free to try it out though, it's quick and easy!

    Please note:
    1. Use Authpro at your own discretion. It is an external company unrelated to us and Wix does not offer support related to Authpro.com widgets in your Wix site.
    2. Your site must be built with Master Pages and by using deep linking. For more information on deep linking, click here: http://support.wix.com/index.php/Deep_Linking
    3. A free account with Authpro.com only allows 10 members, so you will need to upgrade with them to have unlimited members.

So I take it by reading the above,  WIX currently has no way of allowing my clients to log in  to a page via a password to allow them to review images that relate to themselves?

    Regards Mark

That's correct Mark,  adding an option to log in to your site with a password (user manager) - this feature is ranked very highly on our WishList. It is currently in advanced development stages, and will be released in the near future. We will notify all users once it is ready for use.

I password protected one of my pages and when I went to view it (through my browser not through preview) the it did ask for a password, but in the background the information still showed... is it because there is an HTML form that is there?

Yes, html will always appear on top of every other object, you can easily circumvent this by password protecting one master-page and on it have a button to lead to another master-page where the html box is on.

I have my master page with two pages under it.  Both pages have different passwords.  When I click on my link to go to the master page it will only let me view the one page, not the other when I put in the password.  Can I not create multiple pages under a master, have them all passworded different so each user can sign on to that page?
