Obviously a website is pretty useless unless verified by Google. I know how to get the verification code, but don't know where to put it on my wix site? Anyone help?

With Google Analytics you can track information including the number of visitors and page views, where visitors come from, how long they stay, what keywords they are using to find your site, and more.

To use Google Analytics, you will need to upgrade your account to a package that allows you to connect a domain:
"My domain", "Combo", "Unlimited" and "Ecommerce."

For more information and a video tutorial, please click here.

To add your code:
Copy the part that looks like UA-1111111-1 from your Analytics account > from the Wix editor > Settings (top menu) > paste the code under Stats.

You will start getting data on your Wix website within three days.
Please note that we are working on adding a counter to the Wix document.

      Hi  owlbingo,

For Google Analytics there is no need for the TXT record, entering your GA ID in the domain manager will suffice (I can see that you have already done so) . If you would like to verify your domain with Google Webmasters or Google Apps then the TXT record is required.

If you require any further assistance in the future please don't hesitate to contact us again.

I was unable to find a domain connected to your account, nor a Wix document.

Perhaps you're logged in using another account?

Hello world! I'm trying to verify my site with google. This is the most annoying process and most helpless google tips on the web!

    Per google instructions:
    1. Go to the A, CNAME, AAAA Records section.
    2. Enter in the Hostname, in order to verify domain ownership you will use the following token as the Hostname: CQNWSKQRJ2QR
    3. Enter in the Points To address, in order to verify domain ownership you will use the following token as the Points To address: gv-D3OIGEGIS34M2VO3VAZN2YBUVVLWCWP5RUPX2KZMXINQDVPN6BXA.domainverify.googlehosted.com.
    4. For the Type of record, select CNAME.
    5. Select the Add button.
    6. Wait until the Status changes from Publishing to Published.

When I do this and click to verify, I get the message

“Verification failed for http://www.explorus-travel.com/ using the DNS TXT record method (15 minutes ago). We couldn't find the verification token in your domain's TXT records. You might need to wait a few minutes before Google sees your changes to the TXT records.”

Where does TXT record verification comes from????? – per instructions, I must change ANAME record not TXT record!

I’ve tried to use other methods, such as using @ / leaving it black for hostname and different Values but NOTHING WORKS!

Does ANYONE have any idea how to get this done?!

    @ IrishCloudHosts

www.gadgetsireland.com isn't associated with Wix and is not connected as your main domain.

amazon365.net is, and you can only verify it.

I am having the same issue, I have added a TXT record with my google verification code, i left the TXT record name blank. I can see the record after i created it. I have only today changed to used WIX DNS for my domain so i suspect it may take time. My site is www.gadgetsireland.com can you have a look and see if the DNS is correct please?

The only way to verify your Wix website with Google is by adding the verification TXT record to your DNS records - which I can see that you have done. This is mainly required for Google Apps. What problems are you experiencing verifying your domain?

@misha_vertkin, host name should be empty. Please go back into the TXT record that has the Google verification code, edit and remove the host name.  You can also bring the TTL down to 30 minutes, give some time for propagation to take place and verify again.  Hope this helps and please let us know your findings.

    Hi there,

I have added the TXT as instructed, but Webmaster Tools still won't verify the account - it says "Your verification DNS TXT record was not found. "

I pasted the given code, but was unsure of what host name to give, so I just gave it the generic name of "verification".

What could I be doing wrong?

You're using the Wix nameservers- as such, your DNS is hosted by us and not by godaddy,

Please go to your Wix domain manager (My Account->Manage Premium->Domains) and add the TXT record through Wix.
