So if wix ever crashes for some reason, loosing pictures that the user lost too, all the pictures disappear forever. This is not good...

I love the responses from Wix - its your fault so deal... Anyway - The real fault lies with someone who actually uses their b.s. over priced products...

I had to laugh at Wix's impersonal replies on here, completely void of sympathy.  They should just man up and say we don't want to provide this service. 

I also will be moving my site from Wix for many reasons once I have the time to do so.  They do offer a decent service at a decent price, but not once have they went above and beyond like a quality company would.

We hear you and agree, the ability to download previously uploaded files would be very beneficial and convenient, we hope to offer this option in the future.

If I go to any other host on the planet, I can upload and download my images (including those without use of FTP (webs.com for example).
You may not provide a "file hosting service", but really being able to manage and download files is basic functionality for a web host, which you most certainly are, aren't you?

Don't get me wrong I'm not trying to suggest people use you as a backup service and they most certainly should back up their pc, but as a paying customer I do want the option to manage (and download) any files I've uploaded to you.

you don't have to download them, 

- go into your website edit area within wix, 

- put the photo you want onto your website and then enlarge the photo to your entire screen within wix

- screen capture the screen, 

- crop the photo with iPhoto or Picaso

I did this and I my photos are still great quality. can't make a life-size portrait out of it, but can def still use the picture and see all the details very well.

As mentioned above, unfortunately, it is not possible to download images from Wix to your computer.

In the future, I suggest backing up your PC, or uploading your images to a file hosting service.

Hi, i have the same problem. I spent over $400 in photos and flash animations. I would like to know if i can download back to my desktop.
