All the creation that made using the wix editor are not downloadable at all.

You can add the wix site in any other site, but save it as any type such as Zip, is not allowed.

How Can I add the wix site I created on other site?

I have my own domain name and hosting with mywebsitepalace.com... So, can I transfer the web design that I created using wix to my hosting and domain name that I have with mywebsitepalace.com????? I created the web design using wix... Now I just need to know if I can transfer it to my other hosting and domain?

No you can't. Wix doesn't support the option of exporting files created using Wix to an external destination / Hosts as we host all your Wix creations on our servers.

So, if all files are stored at your own Servers, that means that i would have to live with the bandwith and space limitations of your packages.

I have a domain without bandwith limitation and quite a lot of space. Would be a waste of money too.

Do you plan on supporting files being transfered to other Servers in the future. If not, i have to say that wix is not for me then.

The Editor and the Templates look very appealing thou.

At this time we only offer hosting the site on our servers. Our users who use a domain upgrade and are limited by the limitations on their package type.

Yes you can, if you upgrade your Wix site it will be able to support a connection between itself, the site, and your domain. You can read all about it through here and upgrade through here.

can i simply purchase my website design from wix? I have already paid for an extensive hosting package through godaddy that allows me to host as many sites as i want so it would be a waste to pay for additional hosting. i would be willing however to just pay for my design so i can transfer my files to my godaddy hosting. please let me know if you would be open to this.

I was wondering if you can use a utility such a HTTRACK to "back up" a site developed at WIX.COM?  If so, could I use it to then "restore" my site if I need to?

okay let me get this straight.

I have my prevous website hosted with canaca.com. my domain name is www.drben.ca. my email address is drben@drben.ca

So, if I go with the premium wix site, I will pay for hosting and www.drben.ca on wix.

Then if I want to use my current email address (drben@drben.ca) I would need to continue to pay for my hosting at canaca.com.

is that correct?

Please note: you are paying Wix not only for hosting but you are receiving additional features such as more space on your site, more bandwidth etc...

If you bought your domain from external domain hosting company then, yes, you will need to pay this company for hosting your domain.

I also wanted to know the same thing as the website i built on wix is very slow to get running and now i need to add additional things such as video squeeze pages, interactive video blogs and im worried about the speed of opening and operation.

It is not possible to transfer a Wix site to a different host.  Please see Nicole's answer to this thread marked best reply.

You can try adding components you mentioned but please make sure to spread it out on your pages not to overload the site.

To Marta and primasheila, your answers would be MUCH more helpful and accurate, if you said, "It [CURRENTLY] is not [ALLOWED] for Wix users to transfer a Wix site/code to other hosted servers."

It ALWAYS is "possible," if Wix, in the future, allows that feature. By saying "It is not [POSSIBLE]," you are, in effect, not being completely truthful and accurate - since I'm sure Wix technicians transfer the Wix code to other servers when troubleshooting and so forth.

Also, when answering, you should mention that this request (for being able to transfer the Wix code to another hosted server/site) is on the wish list. Thanks.
