You may publish your document when ever you choose, it makes no difference for the website. If you feel that you are ready, simply click on "publish" and follow the steps.

Usually it takes anywhere from 1 to 3 months for Google to update its database and for your site to be indexed. Finding your site using your relevant keywords may take even more time.

Hi, I've published my website but the 'Under Construction'-page is still there and not my website.

Where exactly does the 'Under Construction page' appear? If you referred to it appearing in Google or other search engines, then you'll have to wait until your site is re-crawled as Michael wrote. This should take no longer than a month.

Mine did the same thing.  I published my site and when I type the site address in, it comes up with  page that says This page is under construction.  What do I need to do?

@PhotographybyAshleyB - Your domain does not point to Wix servers.

Please contact your domain hosting company and ask them to connect your domain to Wix Nameservers - NS1.WIX.COM & NS2.WIX.COM .

Once they do so, you should be able to see your site (after up to 72 hours of propagating the change to the global DNS servers).

This Wix answers is driving me crazy.  i want to send a message and have someone to send me the response to handle my issue.   I now cannot get my email through Microsoft Outlook and I cannot see my website online.  (other than through logging onto wix.

I paid for premium.  I have not been able to pull my website up online.

Hi, I`ve published my site 3 days ago, but Google still can`t find it even if I write the exact name of the site - homeovet.bg . I can open it only if I write it`s name in the browser. Why?

Usually it takes anywhere from 1 to 3 months for search engines to update their databases and for your site to be indexed. Finding your site using your relevant keywords may take even more time.

You can speed up this process by adding your domain here:
    Google - http://www.google.com/addurl
    Yahoo - http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit
    Bing - http://www.bing.com/webmaster/SubmitSitePage.aspx

Keywords are a competitive market and top companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to ensure their keywords come up at the top of the search results. SEO requires a long-term outlook and commitment. Wix guarantees that all of the text and meta tags on your site are being scanned by search engines, however we cannot guarantee that search engines will choose to rank your website highly, this part is up to you.

I will do my best to provide you with as much insight as possible into SEO so that you can maximize your standing with Google and with other search engines.

    1. CONTENT and HEADING: There should be at least 400 words on your home page and 250 words on each of your other pages. Make sure you have a heading, located near the top on your homepage, and include your business / website's name / main keywords. For further details please click the following link http://support.wix.com/index.php/SEO#2._Heading

    2. METADATA: Wix submits your meta tag data directly to Google. All you need to do is update the information within your Editor. In your Editor, go to Settings, SEO tab, and fill in the relevant SEO fields. For further details please click the following link http://support.wix.com/index.php/SEO#1._Updating_your_Meta_Tags

    3. LINKS: Be sure to have other relevant sites contain "inbound links" to your site. A single, quality link from a popular site is better than a large amount of poor quality links. To keep track of how many backlinks you have please use the following link http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/ For further details please click the following link http://support.wix.com/index.php/SEO#4._Links

    4. SUBMITTING YOUR SITE: Submit your website to all the relevant search engines including Google, Yahoo and Bing. For further details please click the following link http://support.wix.com/index.php/SEO#Submit_your_site_to_search_engines

    5. SOCIAL NETWORKS: Signing up to various social network sites e.g. Facebook, Twitter and Digg is great way to increase awareness of your website.  By adding content via the many social networks and then linking back to your website is a fantastic way to give yourself a backlink from a respected website. For further details please click the following link http://support.wix.com/index.php/SEO#5._Social_Networks

Google loves new and updated content.  Continue to add content to your website, social network sites and blog e.g. articles, information, updates, videos, images etc.
Remember to keep using your keywords within the content you add. Make sure your content is relevant and of quality, Google hates spam.
For a detailed explanation on the effectiveness of keywords please click here to read our constantly updated SEO blog http://blog.wix.com/2010/10/the-truth-about-keywords/

I was warned by a friend not to use a flash web site.  She claimed search engines would never be able to locate my site.   She was wrong.   My site is up and running and appears in yp.com.  I realize it will take a bit longer from Google to start displaying it, but all in all the experience has been fun and rewarding.   I've tested the address and it never fails to bring up the site as I built it.  I am currently building another site through wix.com

We purchased a combo package website during the week of Thanksgiving.  It is now December 7 and our website is still not live after clicking publish and speaking with a Wix representative.  Can anyone tell me why.  All domains are pointing to Wix.  I was told on December 2 that we should be live any time now.  This is getting old.

    Hi indenv2009,

I just clicked on your site http://www.powerwashservicesinc.com and it is connected properly to our servers and live.

Are you experiencing an error? If so, which one?
