To everyone who has trouble uploading images, we apologize for the inconvenience.
In order for us to assist you and resolve this problem as quickly as possible, please follow these instructions (even if you've done some of the steps before):
1. Update your Flash Player to the most recent version
2. Open your browser to a blank page. Close any Wix pages that are open.
3. Clear your browser's cache and cookies of "Everything". You can find step-by-step instructions here
4. Go to this link and click on Delete all sites.
5. Restart your browser and then log into your Wix account and try again. If this doesn't work, then continue on to Step 6.
6. Try using other browsers to open Wix. Recommended browsers include Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and either IE or Safari (depending on whether you use a PC or a MAC).
7. If you connect to the internet through a router, please try connecting directly through the modem. Then follow Steps 2-5 again.
8. Try disabling your internet security programs and try again (i.e. antivirus, firewall, etc.). It is preferable to try this while still connected to the modem directly. This is meant to assist us in determining the source of the problem that you're facing.
9. Try connecting to Wix from a different computer that uses a different network to connect to the internet.

are you using the right format/size? moreover, what exactly happens? are you getting an error message (if so , what is the error message) or does the editor simply freezes?

I just visited your account and it seems that you haven't saved a website hence there's nothing for us to check.
Currently you can upload these files via Media in the editor:
Pics: .jpg, .png, .gif & .swf via "My Files" -> Pics.

I am trying to upload pictures that were previously on my site and deleted off in error, they are .jpg 109kb and I get the following error message:-
12-Pool and Conservation.jpg - failed to upload due to server error We do not support this type of file. Please save the file in a format supported by Wix. For full list please visit our support section.
I have completed the form as none of the work throughs have fixed the problem. I don't have an alternative computer or connection to try.

Hi LizShelby,
This error means that the file you are uploading is not in a format supported by Wix, or that the extension of the file was changed and does not match the real type of file.
If you are trying to upload a supported file, make sure that the file really is the type of file that it says it is- for example, that the .jpg is really a .jpg and not a .tiff which was renamed to .jpg.
Hi aoiffeokelly,
Are you using the right format/size? moreover, what exactly happens? are you getting an error message (if so , what is the error message) or does the editor simply freezes?

I have been working for the last several hours, At first I had no problem uploading pictures, but now the button seems to be dead. I don't get an Error code or anything like that. The button just simply does not register me clicking it. I followed all the above steps with the exception of filling out the form. Was hoping someone could help. Thanks.
P.s. The picture from link button still works. Not sure if it helps, just throwing it out there. -

Hi Alon,
Not sure who your question is aimed at, but I am still having the same problem. I received several pictures all in .jpg format all in the same folder, some of the upload with no problem but others I continue to get the same message. I have tried everything suggested that I am able to, including saving them again to .jpg format but nothing works.
Any other suggestions as to how I might get them uploaded would be great.
Thanks

My button is still not working, if you where asking me. I redid all the steps again today, just incase it would help today, but no luck.

I just filled out your form and sent it.
My images are either stopping at 67% or failing to upload due to server error (sometimes one, sometimes the other).
Uploading images is a nightmare, and this has been happening since I joined. I have to struggle & waste time EVERY time I want to upload images.
This is unfortunate since I like the way the site looks and want to continue using it. My contract is up with my paid host in aprox. January and I had hoped to switch to Wix. I've been fighting to upload client proofs since yesterday. Not only will they not upload most of the time, but once they are uploaded they are not the correct size on the screen and the edges are clipped (yes, I used the clip art box to check the size which still didn't work).
According to the dates on previous posts, this upload issue has been going on for MONTHS and doesn't show any signs of being resolved. These upload issues make my Wix site pretty useless to me, which means if they're not resolved by the time I'm due to renew with my current host I'll abandon any hopes for having a nicer site on Wix and stay with my current FUNCTIONAL site.
This is beyond frustrating...

I have not been able to upload anything to my wix account since monday. I filled out the form about pictures not uploading as requested, and posted that I did so under the topic thread, and have not had ANY reply or even acknowledgement of receipt. As I described on the form, when I tried uploading images on sunday, they froze at 67% or gave the error 2402. Now, the 'upload' button literally does not work, ie. Sometimes it takes you to the 'upload from Url' button instead, or else nothing happens when you press it! The images were jpegs, resized, and under 400 KB. This is the worst customer service imaginable. I am cancelling my premium account tomorrow if this cannot be resolved.

Hi - your wysiwyg is a joke.error on server message.
I still cannot upload images - I have gone through your 'fix' several times over several internet connections over several months and it is still not working. If you send me £500 then I will happily buy another computer to give it a go on.
Images are tiny, saved in all manner of formats in vain hope of that helping (Yes- including jpeg and png).
FULL REFUND or a genuine fix please

Hi, just sent a form from my projec56 account. (I had to create a new account to see if that was the problem) but still the server error at 67% is there. Have tried everything. Was planning to migrate my existing site to a wix site if everything went well.
Thanks,
Koththi
