It is not possible to download files from Wix, you can load it on the editor and use the print screen button to capture it and edit it on a picture editing program.

This method isn't working for me - on the image manager I have no option to download the images.

      Hi,

You've published your query on an HTML forum and you own a Flash site, so I've merged it to the relevant thread.

On Flash sites, it it impossible to download images, but you can load it on the editor and use the print screen button to capture it and edit it on a picture editing program.

      Have a great day,

      Tal, Wix Team

Why can't I or my clients download the pictures? The correct is to be an option to download or not the pictures. In my case I'd like to give the permission to my clients to download!

Wix needs to be able to make it possible to rename photos even after it being uploaded. This is a hassle

How to download any image from a Wix site:

Logon to edit your site and remove any item overlaying the image you want to copy so that it is 'clean'. Use a program such as Snagit 11 to crop to image you want and copy it.  In Snagit you can then save it to your chosen computer file in just about any format you want, or send it to Photoshop to adjust and then save it to file.  The down side to this is that anyone can use Snagit to copy your images, and they do.

re:downloading and printing pictures from a wix website. As previously said, I tested my own website a few days ago and successfully downloaded and printed a picture from my own wix site. Interestingly, I tried again today and now can no longer do it. Please say if something has been done by the wix team to prevent downloading. Actually, I am pleased and relieved that my work now cannot be so easily copied. Please confirm whether changes to settings have been made. Thanks.

    Hi David,

I'm afraid it's impossible to prevent the download of images, as browser technology is based on the idea of files being accessible to site visitors in order for them to be able to see them.

It is more difficult to download images from Flash sites, however there are ways to bypass this as well, for instance by using the "Print Screen" function.

There's not much we can do about this. If you would like to prevent people from using your images illegally, apart from the legal ramifications of copyright infringement, I suggest you look into watermarking your images with a copyright notice.

If you need any further assistance please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Adam, Wix Support
