You can find all the information about how to add an HTML code to your Flash site here or check out the video below.
You can also post questions about the HTML feature on this page.

Please note:
* By adding external HTML code you are adding products /code we have not created or tested.
Therefore our Support team cannot answer any questions concerning HTML.
* The HTML feature won't work with embedded sites.

yeah, but how can I add a code snippet to the HEAD part of the my main web page ?
It's only possible to add an embedded section in the BODY.
Also, is there a way of actually being able to backup my OWN files and/or
edit/upload/add new HTML files ?
Please reply as soon as possible,

You can determine where your html component is on your site, it is a box just like any other, such as those containing text or a picture. Position the html box as you see fit.
You can backup your site by saving it under a different name (through the Save As), this will create a duplicate site.
You can add more html codes by adding more html widgets.

HTML should be an uploadable document type.

I think you guys misunderstood the question we are asking. I operate an online computer repair company, in addition to my location business. I'm trying to increase our conversions by integrating a live chat, so we can intereact more with our leads. So far, I've been very pleased with the Wix service (unlike some of these people complaining about their own ignorance ie flash ipad concerns). My only true concern is the inabillity to add HTML outside the the body, ie the head portion of HTML coding. I feel like this would be a relativly easy feature to add, and is VERY important for people as they grow. See, you have to understand, you're not necessarily offering a service and product to people who don't know web design, you're offering them a soft crash course. The problem is, as people get more comfortable utilizing the editor to its full potential, they start to outgrow the program. So, realistically you need to keep the editor how it is, but offer some "power user" features that can stay 'at your own risk' or in 'beta.' I understand you don't want to give up the 'coding' portion of the site, as you want to keep people paying for the use on the servers, and your company then gets jipped when people run away with the code. But to offer some advanced HTML funtionability for things other than widgets, will really keep your company growing long term. I'm not trying to tell you how to do things over there, I'm just trying to give you some free market research as most people I know who use Wix are in the same boat as me; we're thinking about jumping ship so we can take more control.

@Sirfrosty,
We completely understand your concern.
You have a very valid point, and this is something that we are considering adding as a feature in the future. However, I cannot guarantee that this will be added and when it will if it does.
I will definitely forward your feedback to the relevant department, and perhaps your feedback will assist in making an impact for this feature.
In the meantime, I recommend you click 'Post New Topic' and choose 'wishlist'. Post a short description for the title (i.e. Allow custom HTML header code to be added) and then describe in detail how you'd like the feature to work.
Regarding the live chat- we do have users that use the HTML widget to embed a live chat function in their site. There are many live chat services that do not require header codes to be added- I suggest you check other live chat services.

@scamblock,
You can try. However, as the best-reply states, we cannot offer support for code that we have not created and tested.
I do know that some users were successful in adding features such as this in the past.

Hi,
How can I make my WIX website available to view on Apple products?
Is there a text version? So many people have complained that they cannot view our site on the iPhone, iPad or Macs and we cannot afford to lose that viewership!
Thanks

How can I embed a list of citations from a premium acount on publicationslist.org (described here: http://publicationslist.org/embed.html) onto my wix site?
Just pasting the recommended html code into an html widget on wix is not working:
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"><link rel='stylesheet' href='http://publicationslist.org/embed.css'><div class='publist' id='publistdiv'>Loading publications...</div><script src='http://publicationslist.org/data/andybeck/publist.js'></script><script src='http://publicationslist.org/embed.js'></script>Is there a simple solution to this?Thanks! -

Just pasting the html code into an html box through the editor does not always work. Some html codes require some adjustment. Unfortunately this is a type of support we cannot provide. By adding external HTML code you are adding products / code we have not created or tested.

is there a way to lock the html widgets in place? Every time the page where I have placed the widgets is refreshed or the size adjusted, they move! http://www.agitate-media.com/the-movement

Currently this option is not possible. To add requests to the wish list. Please type your request here
http://www.wix.com/support/forum/all-topics#!storyType=WISHLIST
You can then select Wishlist tab from the menu when you type in the quick search.
This will also let you know if other users are making similar requests.
All this will mark your request correctly and it will be added to the list.
However, To lock any item on your Wix Document, all you have to do is:
1) Select the item you wish to lock
2) In the pop-up menu, click on the blue colored lock icon on the bottom left of this window
3) You will know that the item is now locked when the lock icon turns red
4) To unlock, click on that red lock to stop the lock mode (unlock it) -

Hello! I currently use the "True Size" option but the html widget is in a different place on every screen I view it with.
Is there anything I can do from my end to fix this problem?

Hello BeckTechTS ,
Try to delete it and re adding it on the site. Then fallow what Yelly wrote

Html widget problems with linksI realize you guys don't have support for this feature so this is more of a feedback but if you can advise in any way that may be helpful I'd appreciate it.
I'm trying to create a preview ("clip" as termed by google) on a website page using the embed code from google reader. Basically I want to have a block that displays the same news feed I have running to google reader. I'm not sure if the problem I'm having is with the code itself or if it's with the html widget.
The code is:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/reader/ui/publisher-en.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.google.com/reader/public/javascript/user/15177187222406759546/label/BOGUS?n=5&callback=GRC_p(%7Bc%3A%22blue%22%2Ct%3A%22%5C%22BOGUS%5C%22%20via%20That%26%2339%3Bs%22%2Cs%3A%22true%22%2Cn%3A%22true%22%2Cb%3A%22false%22%7D)%3Bnew%20GRC"></script>Problem I'm having is that when I click on the link to "view all" the entire "clip" just disappears and there is no new window showing the news feed or anything but the website without the html widget item.
If I click on any of the feeds they oprn within the frame of the html widget and I have no control over this except to alter the script for which there are no options in google reader as far as I can tell. In any case if you know of a better option to google that might help.

@Cheeky Face, How did you grab this embed code from the Google reader? To properly add this to your HTML widget, you will need to log in to your Google reader and grab the RSS feed html code. I am unfamiliar with the Google reader, however you can check their help pages to see which is the correct code to copy.
@YesMedia, that is correct, there is no pop up menu with a lock for the HTML widget.
