Hey all,
We would like to share with you the latest update on the Flash drop down menu.. Its ready!
You will be able to find it by opening your editor (again Flash only) and clicking on add->navigation->menus->drop down. Click here for instructions.
Note:
1)The drop down menu will not be compatible with master pages, this will only work for a single master page with a page group inside it (can still use a regular menu for master page navigation of course)
2)The drop down menu supports up to two levels of page groups. Meaning, if you have a page within a page the menu will provide access to both levels. But if you create a third page inside the second page you will not be able to access it via the menu (this will be easier to understand once you start playing around with it inside the editor)

Currently we don't have this feature.
In the mean time you can find a detailed tutorial here or check out the video below for a workaround until the feature is released. Please note that this is a workaround and is intended for power users only.

You mean pages within other master pages? This isn't currently possible, but will be very soon.

I have created a drop down menu from your video tutorial. However, it only appears on my home page. How can I make it show up on each page of my website?

@joan35, I checked your site pbpa.info and saw that you have a Page Group set up for a drop down menu, but you didn't link the menu buttons on every page to it through "behaviors".

@Loki, Thank you for looking into my problem. However, I am still a little confused. I created menu buttons on my master page, so they are consistently linked throughout the entire site. When I click on any additional page besides the home page, the menu buttons all say that they are linked to the corresponding page group...??

Hey Joan,
I checked your site and I do not see the error you're referring to. Your buttons are linked to the same pages throughout your site- regardless of which page you're on.
Please elaborate- try to be more specific, and give examples.-Etai, Wix Tech Support -

Etai,
Thank you for looking into my problems. The issue I am experiencing, is that my drop down menu does not appear on any page other than my home page. When creating the page group, i enlarged it to where it reaches far beyond the border, so that it would stick to the master page. However, if I am on any page, other than the home page, the drop down menu does not appear, meaning that it probably is not attached to the master page...??? right??

The reason your drop down menu buttons are only showing on your Home page is because that is the Page you placed them on. Everything placed inside your Page borders will attach itself to that specific page. When you navigate off your homepage, the drop down menu will stay only on the homepage.
To make your drop down menu display on all your pages, you will need to attach it to your Master Page. This is not possible to way you set your site up. Since you have the same logo on the top of all of your Pages, you can resize your Page Group smaller allowing the same logo on the top and your menu to sit on your Master Page. Then you can attach the drop down menu to your Master Page.

So can't you just do it on the home page then copy and paste the header and menu to all other pages?
if you get my meaning.

But what you will discover is that when you run your cursor over your drop down menu its stays dropped so to me its ugly and needs a major fix up as all drop down menus do not stay dropped as in this way of doing it.
The only time it goes back to normal is if you pick a page from the dropped menu then go back to the home page it is then back to normal so if you have a bunch of drop down menus like i need on my site and you cursor all of them on main , well need i say more.Horrid

@tony6090, yes you can duplicate all the Pages so each Page has it's own drop down menu. Be careful not to add too much heavy content to one page though, or it will slow your loading time down. This is why I recommend keeping the drop down menu on one Master Page.
Also, are you having a problem with a drop down menu in your site? Let me know which site you are having an issue with so I may assist you... If you do not like the look of a drop down menu, you do not have to use one.

Hi, I have a drop down menu which works fine as long as I have a white background. If I make the background another color, the menu starts acting funny and the page links start flickering. Any ideas here?
Thanks! - Eve

Hi Eve,
I entered your site through the editor, changed its background and the drop down menu worked perfectly.
Can you please elaborate regarding the problem?
What do you mean by "the menu starts acting funny" ?
If you are able to attach some screen shots of what you see it would be great.

Drop Down MenusI have added drop down menus. The drop down menus do not go away when I go to page selected by the button in the drop down menu. The drop down menu’s are blocking the page. How do I get the drop menu buttons to disappear when I change pages.

Hi hlche
We offer limited support for the drop down menu as it is intended for advanced users.
However, I went into your editor and noticed that you missed a few steps, for instance:
- 2 main pages groups instead of main pages and page group
- top button with 2 transition on roll
- also, you didn't add the shape.I suggest you start from the top and follow the step by step directions in the video above.

Ok That's all clear.
I want to have drop down menu's on my website. Prepared an update but not yet online since Iam stuck.
I have now the following problem. Once I get on one of the pages of the drop menu buttons and I want to go back to the drop menu, NOTHING happens. I tried a lot but seem to get stuck.
I even can't get away from the page by choosing one of the other buttons. HELP, want to finish it now!
I have 7 top buttons - so 8 pages and 4 of the 7 top buttons have a drop menu with 2-3 buttons. In the drop menu's I left NO space between the buttons.
HELP, need an answer.
