Wix currently doesn't support an inventory feature, we are however working on it. The website you create in Wix will not update automatically and you will need to change the website manually once you are out of stock.

I am thinking of migrating my store to you guys, is there any time frame on the E-store inventory? only I have over 800 products and although I can make the site look better with WIX, maintaining it would be a nightmare.

@markr5, we can't provide a definitive timeframe since it may bu subject to change. We wouldn't like to make a promise we can't keep, but rest assured that we're working on it.

It is a necessity. I sure would not want to sell two items of one kind if I only had one in stock. Please try to add it as soon as possible.

Yes. This feature is an absolute MUST if you are selling online. You can't possibly build an ecommerce store without the ability to input stock quantities within the application.

No business wants to 'sell' stock they don't have.

As soon as this feature is in place I will surely consider Wix as it looks fabulous. Until then I will carry on looking elsewhere.

I completely agree. Inventory is completely necessary and I will use it as soon as it becomes available. Thanks for your hard work Wix!

We're working on this feature, and we'll let you know as soon as it's ready.

I know that you guys are working on this but it should be put in ASAP.  If I only have one item of some thing to sell and I am selling thousands of items I don't want to have to go in and edit it every time.  Plus if 5 people purchase that one item I would have to refund 4 people.  What a hassle.  I would love to use your online store but this is preventing me from using it.  Want subscriptions?  ADD THIS FEATURE NOW, TODAY!! Please.

I cannot use your ecommerce package until you allow me to add a quantity and then it says out of stock and they cannot add to cart when it is out of stock.  Otherwise people could buy an item that is not in stock and I look like an idiot.  Please incorporate this feature into your add to cart button since that is the easiest way to use ecommerce.

How could someone possibly even use an ecommerce site without being able to post the quantity?  Can you give me a timeline on this so I don't have to use another company, I like how easy it is to design the site with wix I dont want to switch.

I am unfamiliar with all of the inner-workings of PayPal as it has been a while since I have used it for eCommerce processing. Does PayPal at least "hold" the order in a queue of some sort until you finalize order or does it go through automatically? So if I do hypothetically sell 6 widgets while I sleep, but I only have 5 in stock, I can at least avoid having to refund a payment. Not sure if this is possible.

Anywho, here is another voice on the matter of needing this ASAP. Otherwise, Wix is great.

We have designed our ecommerce site BUT we simply can not upgrade to go live until stock control inventory feature is enabled, it simply isn't feasible. Once this feature is enabled then we would be more than happy to upgrade, if it's not too late for our business..

@deeperDATA, please check with PayPal as this would be a feature of their service.

Regarding when an inventory feature will be released - there's no date at the moment. We know you want it and we want you to have it, but we're still working on this feature as well as a bunch of others (WixMobile was recently given a Q2 2011 release timeframe).

When we're closer to releasing this feature, we'll announce it.

Pay Pal has this but do they charge extra for this feature? I just have the premier (basic) account

I absolutely love Wix but, I wish I didn't have to leave because they have no way of keeping track of inventory. They would be a force to b reckoned with if they had this. I'll be searching for a great deal that offers this feature.

@Ilovemydesigners - This may be available within paypal, but it is not currently supported in Wix. Please contact paypal for more information associated with their services.

If you're looking to use the paypal inventory feature with the Wix shopping cart, this is not currently possible. If you use the HTML widget to embed their shopping cart, you must still upgrade to at least the combo package- and as the HTML widget is in beta, we cannot currenlty provide you with support for it.

Yes great site but with no inventory and a limited stock with over 1500 items its not for me.

Hope to see this feature soon but will have to keep looking for a provider with this feature.

It's so hard to keep track of sales without this feature, I hope it is a part of the new ecommerce features being released soon.
