The promotion for the free domain is for a voucher that can be redeemed at Network Solutions. The registration is done by you, and as such you own the domain (for the 1 year registration- after which point you will need to pay for renewal).

Wix only hosts your Wix creations, we do not host email addresses.

You can sign up for email hosting services with a different company and connect it to Wix. You need to make sure your records are updated in accordance to how your domain is connected (pointing or nameserver).

1.  If your domain is pointed to Wix by IP- Please contact your domain hosting company and ask them to remove the MX records that point to Wix.

2.  If you are connected via Nameservers - Please ask your email hosting company what records need to be added and update them in the Domain Manager within your Wix account.  In the Domain Manager, you can add MX records, A records, CNAME records and TXT records. For more info about how to update these records, follow this link.

You can also look into signing up for business emails with Google.  They offer a few business emails for free.  Here is the information on how to sign up and connect it to Wix:

i brought a domain with west host who i will transfer it over to in 60 days time as i know about the 60 day waiting after payment thing

can you in the mean time are you able to point this domain to host west stuff i can give you the info you need hope you can do it as i need to add ftp pages to it and wix domain i couldent do it hence only reason im moving to there domain

Yes!  After you purchase your Wix premium yearly package ("Combo", "Unlimited" or "Ecommerce"), simply go to "My Account" > "Manage Premium" > "Vouchers" and click on the voucher link next to your package under "Free Domain".

Please note that if you choose to purchase only a monthly package, you will not receive a free domain voucher.

You would have to purchase it separately from your monthly package.
