1. My host is Verizon, I shut down my original webs site and made new one.

2, Gazette1892.com domain was purchased from Godaddy.com years ago.

3. Completed and paid for new site at Wix.com

4. Need to publish on Verizon host 216.139.213.144

Your domain is connected to your Wix site in the domain manager, but you still need to point it to the Wix servers at 216.139.213.144

My domain anthonyroblingphotography.com was purchased from Godaddy.com, and is also hosted by them. They say that I have to upload my website to them using FTP. Rob Rush of the Wix team says this is not possible. What can I do?

To connect your domain from godaddy, you must as them to point your domain to the Wix server at DNS: 216.139.213.144  . You can send them an email asking them to do this.

Once they have successfully pointed your domain, you will need to add your domain via Manage Premium. It looks like you have already done this step, so go ahead and let godaddy know that you want to point your domain.

Do I understand this correctly that you must pay for the premium package in order to publish your wix-created website to a godaddy domain name?

Yes, in order to successfully connect your domain from Godaddy, you will first need to publish your site and upgrade to a premium package that allows for you to connect your own domain. Then you will be able to connect your domain to your Wix website.

I had done everything posted above. The problem I didn't understand was Godaddy had two accounts for me. I only knew about the one. When access to the right account; I could clearly see it change it and get it running,

My web address is www.wiz.com/luvbitessa/homebaked, I want to register my own domain ie. www.luvbites.co.za. How do I go about doing this? Please help ASAP. Many thanks, Belinda

@luvbitesbelinda- Wix is not a domain host. Please see the 'best reply' of the thread.

@Allysonmckay- please use the pointing via IP method. This means that you need to create 2 A records, one for domain.com and one for www.domain.com , both to point to 216.139.213.144

@Assodemetra- Your domain, assodemetra.it , does not point to the Wix servers. Please point your domain to our servers by following the guide.

Can I use my own domain as like "www.edmund.com.my or www.edmund.my" ?

Hi I bought a domain from www.domain.com and i want to point to to my wix account. I dont know alot about this stuff, but i messaged the domain people and asked them to point it to the wix ip. They have not replied yet, has anyone done this before? will it work? im nervous because i didnt check to see if domain.com will point before i payed them. 

Hello, urgent ! Im talking with a person that will buy me a domain from somewere. Do i need to ask him to buy a host package also???? If yes , why then i should pay you to have unlimited bandwidth storage etc?
