SPECIAL INFORMATION REGARDING LATEX AND POLY-COATED MATS
ALL THE MATERIAL WE RECEIVE IS REJECT OR OFF SPECK MATERIAL
WE MUST ACCEPT THIS MATERIAL AS IS FROM OUR SUPPLIERS
We receive the Latex and Poly-coated paper from our suppliers in large rolls. This
sometimes causes some variances in the calibration and often times may vary
slightly in color. The Latex will vary in thickness a small degree. Even though
some sheets may be thinner than others, the variations will not affect the high
wet strength of the latex mat. The embossing gives the mat flexibility to fit the
contours of the floor; however this may cause some specks to appear in the printing
image of the mat. Also the embossing will vary from a light embossing to a heavier
embossing depending on the material. Some of the material will vary from shinny
effect to a dull effect. Either way it has the same coating and the same durability.
** NOTE Please note that due to the possibility of variations as herein above
described, which are beyond the suppliers control, the supplier
DISCLAIMS all warranties and such orders are sold AS IS with
the customer agreeing to accept such product as manufactured and
delivered.
** NOTE No orders will be accepted back by our warehouse without prior
authorization from Bobby F. Griffin Inc.

The Boy Who Was Least Likely to Succeed
The youngest of seven children, Bobby F. Griffin was born and raised in Bristol, Virginia. His father dropped out of school in the fifth grade, and his mother was deaf. Griffin, hindered by a learning disability, recalls having struggled through school. Most vividly, he remembers being seventeen in the ninth grade and struggling with math. His teacher trashed his work and told him to go home. Faced with few options, Griffin enlisted in the Army and was sent to Korea. In 1953 he was wounded and would later return to Bristol where he began operating a Texaco service station which his father had financed using his home. While operating the station he met his future wife Frieda.
After winning a trip to Florida in a contest held by a local restaurant, Griffin and his wife took from their service station register $20, which was all the money they had left. They borrowed her fathers Nash Rambler and headed for Sarasota, where his luck would change.
Within a day of arriving in Sarasota, he and his wife were in a used-car lot inspecting a car that interested them. Upon entering the car, the dealer said to them, Wait a minute, youve got sand on your feet, as he placed a make-shift cardboard mat on the floorboard.
Bam! Griffin says. I couldnt get the idea out of my head. The dealers piece of cardboard inspired Griffin with the idea to produce and market cardboard mats for the purpose of protecting the floorboards of new cars.
After much adversity, Griffin was granted two US Patents on his cardboard floor mat. Then, he had to develop a successful marketing strategy. He began traveling and selling his invention.
It still took ten more years to reach the point where he knew the business was a success. There were lots of sacrifices and periods of discouragement along the way. But, every time Griffin felt discouraged, he would pray and the Lord would renew his self-confidence. He believes that is what really made the difference. Griffin realizes that becoming a Christian does not guarantee a person success in business but it did give him an inner assurance to make something of himself. Griffin says, Regardless of your situation, background, or education, with God-given self-confidence you can make it. You can be what you want to be. Griffin quotes Proverbs 3:26, ...the Lord shall be thy confidence. And after 40 years, he is now one of the worlds top suppliers of mats.
