Getting Ready for the Session....................................................

The SessionSessions are fun, simple, and never rushed. The most important thing for me is to have everyone involved feeling happy, and relaxed.I want to capture what comes naturally from your child. Whether it is laughing, frowning, crying, or goofing around! Remember that a rested child with a full belly will be a wonderful and happy model.Time and PlaceThe photography will take place, well, anywhere you want! I usually come up with a place but feel free to share your ideas;a local park, your garden, the beach, an open field, or a mountain top, I generally recommend that newborns are photographed at your home - easier on them, - easier on you!Outdoor sessions are best scheduled in early morning or late afternoon to take advantage of the best available light. I will of course do my best to work with different lighting if that time frame will not work for your schedule. * In the event of bad weather, illness, or any other unavoidable circumstances the session may be rescheduled. Please try to give 48 hours notice if you need to cancel your session. Make sure your child is well rested and not feeling under the weather. If your child is ill it is best to reschedule.Clothing Selection Here is my suggestion: the simpler the better. It is best to avoid logos on your clothing. Bare feet are always in style! Jewelry, bows and doodads should be kept to a minimum for a more timeless feel.. In my opinion "natural" hair , how they usually wear it, looks best.Either simple OR over the top! Does Lily like to wear her fairy dress with daddy's work boots or mommy's sunday hat? Lets capture that!Bring a few changes and lets have fun!Newborns are best in the nude or with very little clothing such as a beanie, simple onsie or just wrapped in a comfy blanket. Bare feet are also preferred over shoes or socks. If you have any questions or trouble deciding I will be happy to give you some suggestions.Colorful vintage fabrics for clothes or for a prop like a chair make for beautiful fun memorable pictures !Viewing and Selecting PhotosOnce the session is over, your proofs will be ready in about 1 weeks for online viewing. You can then select the images you would like prints of .ReferralsFor every new client that you refer to Sweetest Pea that books and completes a session, you will receive 25% off on any future session.Some pictures may be used for Sweetest Pea Photography advertising purposes.
