I grew up in downtown Richmond, Virginia.. and had a quitehappy childhood playing in shopping carts and feeding theducks every Sunday at the neighborhood park. I wassurrounded by books and immersed in education. At theage of 3 I was taught to read by my grandmother... andwas in my first play at age 4. I read my first 'classic' novelat age 4. Bram Stoker's "DRACULA" (a book that hasinfluenced me to this day) and I wrote my first story atage 4..which I still have a copy of!Although modeling andacting were not my first career choices (I wanted to be adoctor and go to Harvard)... my mother entered me intopageants and put me into 'charm' schools. My mother wasan accomplished actress herself after having gone toschool to study theology... and she knew 4 differentlanguages (all of which she taught me)... so it was in my'blood' so to speak to become an actress or to attain someform of notoriety.I was in the newspaper at age 7... I submitted a question to thenewspaper's section for children. My picture wasin the paper and I was interviewed. That was my15 minutes of fame. I was later a debutante and Iwas in the paper for that as well. I finally gave inand went to modeling school at age 12. It was aunique and fun experience, but I didn'tthink much of it. I signed with a local agency butonly got a few jobs due to the market that I was in(Virginia sucks for modeling) and became the agency 'makeup artist' instead as makeup was much more fun (and lucrative at themoment) for me. I decided not to be a slave to themakeup brush and work at a counter but to go to college...so I tried to get into something more solid into high school-I chose journalism.One summer I was chosen out of 500 students to speciallyattended a summer workshop for Journalism after beingeditor for my school paper in high school. I produced andwas photojournalist for the paper for the workshop- wheremy work was featured as some of the best writing andphotojournalism the workshop had seen in years. I wasthen determined to pursue journalism and write... I wentand got a bachelors in Communications.I then came back home and was depressed at the stateof the written word -- I wrote for the local newspaper herefor 1 year- hated the deadlines and the lack of creativityanddecided to go back to school to study art. I got myBFA in art soon after- and intended to pursue working at amuseum. Being dismayed by the pay and the lack of jobsin my area- I decided to write again, but this time, not fora paper- for publication. After attending school for a thirdand final time to get a degree in psychology - I authoredseveral books running the gamut from creative writing toschizophrenia research. I also started a few online storesin order to keep me busy... where I did the html/webdesign (another one of my talents). I had not thoughtabout modeling since then. I still did makeup on the sidebutI put modeling behind me. Sure, I choreographed afew fashion shows in college for some organizations... butI had not thought about it.Until 1999.What really did it for me was my total transformation...from a size 24(college was not kind!) to a size 0/2. People stood up andtook notice of me at this point and my modeling career again came tothe forefront of my mind. The Maury Povich show picked meup and put me in an episode (Geeks to Chic)and Jenny Joneseven had me on the show for my assets of a 38D chest,my 137 IQ and books I have written (Brainy Busty Babes)but there was something MORE to it than just looks and I was born to be that something more.I pursued my education aftermy M.S. in counseling (Iwent BACK toschool again) I decided to pursue a PhD in psychology and to eventually work withpeople with severe mental disorders(schizophrenia),abused women,and eventually do criminalprofiling. I continued withmy research andwrote 4 books under a pen name (The Split Brain: An Analysis of Schizophrenia; TheSplit Brain II: Alternative Research; Non TraditionalFamilies; and Noise: The story of Dr. Rosemary Rodgers)as well as authoring several creative writing books(Swallowing Jewels; Musings of a Mad madam; Absinthe)Now, I must admit, this throws people a little off when Itell them these things about me... as most people think allmodels are vapid and don't even have college degrees (letalone, 3!) But I have the paper and the persistence toprove them differently!With my training in classical dance (ballet), jazz, and hiphop; my acting abilities and my modeling skills...I plan totake the modeling world by storm with my unique look andmy edgy attitude. Besides Modeling, I also am anaccomplished makeup artist that has worked for variouscosmetic companies all over the east coast as well as formodeling agencies in my area. I have served as accountmanager for several skin care lines and I am a certifiedskin care provider (esthetician) and licensed in many areasin skin care as well as holistic skin care (ayurveda). If youare looking for the 'complete package'... model/actress/dancer/makeup artist... one person that can do it all anddo it all WELL... look no further.
