I tell stories about the small moments in our lives that create huge changes in who we are.
A native Californian, I've lived as far and away as Spain and Alaska but currently I make Hollywood my home, where I've wanted to live and work my entire life. I write full-time in the company of my menagerie: Chachi, who lends his canine enthusiasm and Winslow, Cosmo & Cowboy, who contribute their feline penchant for a quick turn-of-phrase.
I write for film, television, advertising, games, and the web.
I create and consume character-driven stories with sprawling mythologies that redefine traditional relationships and turn social institutions upside down. I'm still the little girl who seldom knew her place and always back-talked no matter what the consequences.
Old habits die hard.
From the age of sixteen when I was selected as Editor In Chief of Sassy Magazine's reader produced issue, to transforming the blog I kept in my early thirties into an award-winning spec script about my divorce - I've always been a writer.
If you're a believer in show business fortune cookie wisdom, it takes ten years of hearing no in this town before you either make it or give up. I've been here almost that long, and I'm not buying the proverbial bus ticket back to anywhere.
The future is wide open and it's filled with stories; I'm ready to tell them.
