WELCOME
to my world of Borzoi
I am, after many years of pleading for my husband's help, pleased to publish my first homemade website for all to explore.
Firstly a little about us. We live in the South West of England on the edge of Exeter, Devon. I have kept dogs as pets all my life starting with German Shephards. I met my first Borzoi in 1975 and fell in love with the breed. In 1990 I was lucky to be given my first Borzoi "Spider" by Chris and Colin Mayers, Tcheria Borzoi.
In 1991 I met my husband John whos only experience of dogs was the farm labs he grew up with, so I quickly introduced him to the world of Borzoi and showing, early mornings, long distances & missing Grand Prix etc.
We currently have 4 Borzoi and 2 Dachshunds and am pleased to report after many years of learning the Breed we are experiencing great success with one of our dogs Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma "Jester". We would just like to say a big thank you to everyone in the breed for all the support and advice over the years and especially to the breeders of all our boys we have had the pleasure of owning, Chris & Colin Mayers (Tcheria), Jean Claire (Ryazan), Ingrid Knieschke (Datcha), Gill Grist (Endevor) and Don Foran (Donskoi).
Katie our daughter also enjoys dog showing and has become a successful Junior Handler. She now has another hobbie with her horse "Otto" so now all our weekends are taken up by animals.

10/09/10 - Richmond Championship Show - JHA Semi-Finals
Katie had qualified Jester for the fourth year running for the JHA Junior Handling competition and under Judge Mr Gavin Robertson she won the 12-16 Hound Semi-Final. She has been handling since the age of 6 and has qualified every year previously being placed 4th, 3rd, & 2nd so we were all delighted with her WIN. The only Bad news is we now have to go to Discover Dogs in November at Earls Court for the Finals. Photo
In the breed ring Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) won his 11th CC under judge Mrs E A Mcdonald.
Datcha Tabor at Menigma (Teegan) won his 2nd junior class.
28/08/10 - Scottish Kennel Club - Almanor Take a Chance at Menigma won Dog CC under judge Ms Ann Gayford (Abamor). Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) had to settle for the RCC today. Photo
20/08/10 - Welsh Kennel Club - Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) won his 10th CC and BOB under American breed Judge, Mr Jon Steele (Auroral) Datcha Tabor at Menigma (Teegan) won his first Junior Class.
04/08/10 - Paignton Champ Show - Ch.Datcha Payatz At Menigma won the Dog CC and Best Of Breed under breed judge Mr Barry Rimmel. Almanor Take a Chance at Menigma won Limit
dog . and Datcha Tabor at Menigma won 2nd Puppy Dog.

04/09/09 - City of Birmingham Ch. Show - Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) Reserve Dog CC. Almanor Take a Chance at Menigma 2nd Limit Dog. Judge Mr Martin Sanders. Jester had a busy day also winning 2nd in the Eukanuba Champion Stakes and then with Katie he had a 2nd in the YKC Stakes and 1st in the JHA Handling.

05/08/09 - Paignton Ch. Show. Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) won Dog CC missing out on the BOB to the mother of his second litter Ch. Starborough Solar Eclipse over Endevor.Almanor Take a Chance at Menigma 1st Limit Dog. Judge Mrs D. Courtney.
02/08/09 - Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) 4th litter has arrived. 7 dogs born today at Donskoi Kennels. Click on Litters above.
25/07/09 - Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) won Dog CC & BOB at Leeds Ch. Show. Judge Mr Keith Thornton. He was again short listed in the Group judged by Mr Ellis Hulme.
06/06/09 - Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) won Dog CC & BOB at Southern Counties Ch. Show. Judge Hans Lehtinen. He was shortlist in the Group judged by Mr Robin Searle. Almanor Take a Chance at Menigma 3rd Limit Dog.
07/05/09 - Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) won his fourth CC today at Birmgham Ch. Show. Judge Mr Robin Searle.
25/04/09 - Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma won 1st Open Dog. Judge Mrs Sue Peskett.
05/03/09 - CRUFTS 2009 Ir. Ch. Datcha Payatz at Menigma (Jester) won Dog CC & BOB, making him up to a UK Champion. Donskoi Balagoor at Menigma won 1st Junior Dog. Judge Mrs E Whitehead. Jester then went into the main ring and was short listed in the group judged by Mrs E. A. MacDonald.
15/01/09 - Almanor Take a Chance at Menigma won 1st Post Grad. Dog at Manchester Ch. Show. Judge Jeff Horsewell.

Ethan's 1st litter was born when he was 7 1/2 years of age.
The dam is a lovely Red & White Bitch Jewel Heaven owned by Caroline and Martin Bennet from Chester. They have kept one of the self red bitches (Puppy Bitch 1 - Top Right) from the litter . She has only been show the once at the Northern Borzoi Ch. Show winning Minor Puppy Bitch and Best Puppy Bitch in Show.

Chance has been used at stud on a lovely Red & White Bitch Jewel Heaven owned by Caroline and Martin Bennet from Chester. The Litter of 2 dogs and 5 bitches was born on the 29 May. We went up to see them last weekend and have taken the attached photo's at 6 weeks now at 6 weeks of age.
