The PBY Catalina was built in scale of 1:8 and the wingspan is 13ft. The retracts were scratch built from drawings of the full size Catalina. The model has 3 receivers, 6 batteries and 14 servos.
The wing floats are fully functional and are driven by a 380 6V boat motor in the center of the wing. The gear for the wing floats is made out of Kyosho parts for R/C cars.
The wing breaks down to 3 parts for transportation.
