Examples of the Coat Colours
Here are some examples of the standard english stafford colours so you can get an idea of what colour my pups are. Combinations of these colours with white and brindle are all common. Brindling is a very dominant genetic feature in staffords. It is in no way a fault or even a negative, and many even prefer it. NOTE that I do not have all of the colours. I specifically only ever have blues and blue fawns and do not have any other colours of english staffords, they are here merely as examples and are not my dogs or images. The blue colour is a recessive gene and not common. Having said this, blue and fawn together are even more rare. Unlike some animals with recessive genetic features it does not create any health problems of any kind and just affects the coat colour. Note:
Many people select their pups when only a few weeks old. There is no guarantee that a pup with particular markings will retain these individualities as they continue to change constantly up to adulthood. Keep this in mind when selecting a pup, and don't be dissapointed if a white spot or stripe appears or dissapears. A pup is for life and you should consider carefully whether or not you are able to care for a dog or whether or not an english stafford is the breed for you BEFORE you get one.
