NEEDFIRE
Blending soaring bagpipes, reeling Celtic fiddles, & tribal didgeridoo with modern rock guitars, bass, and drums, Needfire takes traditional Celtic melodies into a modern rock context with original lyrics and hard-hitting performances. Since 2005 these Texas-based Celt-rockers have headlined and performed at some of North America's largest Celtic, arts, and international festivals. Songs from their first three CD releases have been aired on radio stations and Celtic music programs throughout the U.S. and Europe. Killer songwriting, great guitar work, a rock n roll backbeat, catchy fiddle and bagpipe hooks and a mix of eclectic influences drawing equally from rock, folk, Texas blues, and traditional Celtic music are the elements that make Needfire one of todays most distinctive and original bands.Needfire's high-spirited, powerhouse live shows and original sound are praised by music fans of all ages and critics worldwide.
Needfire will be performing shows throughout Saturday at the Games, including a 6:00 pm show following Closing Ceremonies.

CHARLIE ZAHM
With a baritone voice some has described as coming along once in a generation, Charlie Zahm has become one of the most successful performers on the Celtic festival circuit, weaving magical moments of Scottish and Irish history for the listener with passion for the performance and a chosen repertoire pleasing to all members of the family. A master of the guitar as well, Charlie brings an authentic love and respect for the music he sings. With dashes of humor and a light in his eyes, he will draw you into the stories of his songs.
Charlie Zahm will be performing continually throughout the day on Saturday at the Games, as well as perform our traditional national anthems at Opening Ceremonies.

ALASDAIR FRASER & NATALIE HAAS
Alasdair Frasers dynamic fiddling, engaging stage presence, and deep understanding of Scotlands music have created a constant and international demand for his performances. Alasdair has been a major force behind the resurgence of traditional Scottish fiddling in his homeland and the U.S., inspiring legions of listeners and learners through his recordings, annual fiddle camps and concerts. The musical partnership between Alasdair and Natalie Haas may not seem an obvious one. But this seemingly unlikely pairing is the fulfillment of a long-standing musical dream for him, whose cutting edge musical explorations took him full circle to find a cellist who could help him return the cello to its historical role at the rhythmic heart of Scottish dance music. Natalie is in the vanguard of young cellists who are re-defining the role of the cello in traditional music. Alasdair and Natalie perform Scottish fiddle music of unrivalled beauty, eloquence and passion.
Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas will be featured performers at our Friday night Highland Concert, as well as perform two shows on Saturday at the Games and lead a strings workshop.
Make time for the Alasdair Fraser & Natalie Haas Strings Workshop with emphasis on the tradition and techniques of Scottish fiddle and dance music.
Alasdair Fraser and Natalie Haas lead workshops for all string players violin (fiddle), viola, cello, and bass. Other instrumentalists are also welcome to join in the workshops. Alasdair and Natalie explore playing traditional music in a group, focusing on arrangement ideas as well as the techniques that give traditional music its particular flavor.
They look at the elements of language, rhythm and dance, and how to put fiddle tunes together to form a medley or a larger piece of music. Teaching is geared towards intermediate to advanced musicians but enthusiasts of all levels are welcome and encouraged to participate at their level.
Saturday, June 26 at the Ohio Scottish Games 1-3 pm

THE BRIGADOONS
Formed in 1971, The Brigadoons have, through all these years, promoted the Celtic music so popular in Glengarry County. Their peppy brand of Celtic music was instantly embraced by the public, young and old. Whether they played to the crowd at the Atlantic Hotel or for a dance at the Bonnie Glen, they played to full houses and they kept the floor full all night. Members changed through the years but the band`s following continued to grow. Fortunately for their fans, The Brigadoons are still performing their traditional sound. And while new songs are being added to their repertoire, they still perform old favourites such as "The Road to Dalhousie", "Glengarry my Home" and "The Martintown Song" at the request of their loyal fans.
The Brigadoons will be featured at the Friday night Ceilidh following the Highland Concert, as well as performing shows throughout the day on Saturday at the Games.
