FEBRUARUY NEWSLETTER 2010
Just wanted to give our deepest condolences to Dean and his family and friends on Freda Stewarts passing, she will be sadly missed. As an expression of sympathy we have donated $100.00 to the Winchester Hospital.
Our condolences also go to Mike Maloneys family for his passing. He played a part in helping out for our events at the Lions Club in Bonville.
We had a nice turn out at our last meeting, thank you to everyone who attended. This month is important due to the annual OCA meeting this Feb 24, 25th 2010 in Toronto, why this pertains to us is this the meeting where new boards members are elected and important issues (resolutions) are brought to the table by local farmers. This is why every county has the opportunity to send voting delegates to speak on behalf of their counties. We will find out in our March meeting what information our voting delegates will report. Our voting delegates are Elmer Stewart and Ken Runions and Advisory Counsel is Jamie Clark.
A Treasurer report was given at our last meeting. We received $4407.62 out of $5000.00 submitted to the Share Cost program with OCA for 2009. This program helps with the costs for producer and consumer education.
Just a note for those who have not heard, there is a bus trip being hosted by the Horsemen Club on Feb 17, 18, 19 2010 to the Toronto farm show, If interested, please contact Bernard Grady 984-0148.
------50/50 Winner this month was Charles Marlatt Congratulations!!------
