I have always enjoyed looking at wildlife and landscape photos because I am an animal lover and I enjoy nature'’s beauty. Whenever I looked at the pictures in magazines and books, I dreamed of being the one taking those breathtaking images. I used to use my Polaroid camera for photographs, but my conscious interest in photography faded until I got a Sony point and shoot. Since high school, I have been using a DSLR and thoroughly enjoy it, so I plan to stick with digital cameras.
I plan to become a wildlife and domestic animal photographer with a little bit of portraiture of children and families, because I enjoy photographing those subjects.
In fact, I am proud to say that one of my photos of my dog and another photo of jellyfish were selected for publication in two books: The Most Adorable Pets of America 2011 Photographic Collection , and the Best of 2011 Photography Anthology .
My dog has become one of my favorite models and was part of what really got me interested in pet photography. The other thing that piqued my interest is a photo shoot I did for my previous employers of ‘Santa Paws’ with various dogs at the boarding kennel. I’'ve always wanted a career that involves animals, because I relate to animals more easily, I have been told I’'m very good with them, and I enjoy working with them hands-on. I hope to explore the techniques behind stunning landscape photos and delve deeper into taking spectacular pictures of animals—-domestic and wild.
