We have worked with the Balanced Scorecard since1997. From implementing the Balanced Scorecard in one of the worlds largest car manufacturers we went on to found Balanced Scorecard Forum Norge to find Best Practice. We have researched the BSC for several years and a knowledge base has been established. Our consulting has revealed many challenges and so we have found the best solutions for each one. At present the research will be considered for a publication and possibly a PhD. So, no consulting at them moment.

Training
BSCWORLD has trained a selected group of people from Defence, Vountary Organizations,Business and Public sector. Some have completed a full programme and some have completed in depth courses. All of tem has used the BSCWORLD handbook complete with check lists and prctical research based tips. BSCWORLD offers support for your business as a coaching service. This is week end based and may be performed as a 1/2 day work shop. Consulting is offered where we belive it woud give you a positive ROI.

THE FOUNDER
The founder
Magne Stovern founded BSCWORLD in 1997. Magne is a business graduate from Strathclyde University in the UK. Magne also holds a Master of Science in Information Management from Strathclyde University Graduate Business School. For over 20 years Magne has worked on Executive Information Systems for a number of corporations and government agencies. Magne has also lectured in Performance Measurement on post graduate programmes. If you need advice or coaching get in touch and you may benefit rom the experience he has gathered over the years. Performance measurement will work only when a sufficient level of automation is established. There are a number of other criteria as well that have to be solved. We guide you through a Kaizen (Stepwise limited risk) implementation process.
4. TRAINING & INFORMATION
Objectives, strategies, systems, processes, roles and procedures have to be documented. All these issues have to be a part of the total information dissemination of your organization. And you have to involve employees borth in development and training in order to achieve success.
5. BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT
We make sure performence measurement is a part of the organizations day to day workings in terms of making it a part of management system (meetings) and connecting it to reward systems. Deviations must be closed either short or long term change intitiatives with Business Case/ROI evaluations.Each project will have its own ROI. This is where the total performance measurement solutions ROI can be measured. Add bench marking to the day to day woorkings and you have established a TQM continous improvement solution. IMPLEMENTATIONS
CHALLENGE: Sales too low to maintain the current sale force. SOLUTION: Upside down scorecard with inividual daily measures in a transition period. The project included management advice, a measurement system, redesign of sales meetings, reward solution and qualitative coaching of sales managers and team members. RESULTS: Sales increase in excess of 200% (Measured performance pre and 2x post project). The corporation decided to recruit instead of firing sales people. Each invested $ in consulting support was redeemed more than tenfold.
OIL COMPANY
CHALLENGE: New oil company success depended on building concensus in order to direct all resources towards the same goals company wide.SOLUTION: The management team went through a complete strategy development and implementation process. The result was first class consensus and focus on the right areas. Monthly follow up ensured continious target aquisition.RESULTS: The company was successfully aquired by a major energy company fitting directly into their strategy. Each invested $ in consulting support was redeemed during the aquisition.
BANKING
CHALLENGE: The company had a below average performance measurement solution lacking automation, hence, it was not used actively.SOLUTION: Market evaluation and selection of a custom IT system for Performance Measurement Support.RESULTS: Roll out of a fully automated solution with monthly follow up of all performance measurement factors by the manegement group including a project level reward system. Each invested $ in consulting support was redeemed tenfold.
