Biography
Born and raised in Truro, Nova Scotia and son of master photographer Bruce Berry, Steven has always had a passion for the arts.
Steven graduated from CEC in 2008 with good marks, especially in Art and Film&Video. He then applied (and was accepted) to King's University, taking journalism. Months before, he applied at the NSCC WaterFront Campus to the Radio and Television Arts program (a two year media program, where students choose radio, broadcasting, or TV production as their major)
After working in the television industry in a couple job placements at a film production house and as a shooter for The Weather Network, Steven was sure he'd found his niche in the media. He then spent the summer on the radio, working for two separate stations in central Nova Scotia.
He has since interned and worked with CTV, Eastlink, EditFarm, iCommunications, PostMan Productions, CHSB Hilltop FM, Big Dog 100.9, Cat Country 99.5 and is now on his way to CBC in Fredericton for his next work term.
As an experienced shooter, editor, producer, director and journalist, Steven has become a well rounded and talented you man willing to take on any challenge. While competent as an indivdual producer, Steven has always been a team player and the "go to" guy for everything from patching to shooting to editing to script writing. An editorialist at heart, Steven is a talented speaker, a language specialist, and a cynical, informed writer/reporter.
Finally, Steven never settles for less, and anything he creates shines with his philosophy:
