Delightfully Downs is a project underway in the Cleveland Ohio area started by Pamela Crouse, the mother of a beautiful angel with Down syndrome. We are currently working with The Up Side of Downs to show the world that people with Down syndrome are amazing and capable. We would like to dispel the notion that they are useless or burdensome. Our greatest mission is to help reduce the number of abortions due to a prenatal diagnosis of Down syndrome.
Pamela has compiled a photographic book of children with Down syndrome doing everyday activities which is now available on our "Books" page and has written three other childrens books all addressing the topic of Down syndrome. Once they are published and available, these books will be sold and distributed to physicians offices, hospitals and schools.
“A Family’s Delight...Living with an Angel” is a photographic book featuring children with Down syndrome and is now available by clicking on the book cover. There are two versions of the book. The large 8x10 book is complete with photographs and text while the compact 7x7 book is an abridged version. Please use the book preview to view the first 15 pages of both books before ordering as they are different.
“I’m Really Not That Different From You” is an illustrated children’s book written to accompany children with Down syndrome into kindergarten. It is a great resource for showing the similarities shared by children with Downs and “typical” children.
