We work with the local community to regenerate St Alfege Park, Greenwich
Engaging with the local community
ABOUT THE FRIENDS
We now have 54 members, and together we are making a difference!
The Friends have helped wildlife in the park (providing nest-boxes and regular feeding for small birds, planting 105 trees and bushes, taking part in the RSPB big garden birdwatch), and made the park more welcoming and useful for locals and visitors, with new picnic tables, a greenhouse, a start on vegetable gardens for local children, new name plaques, and various events including Parkfests 2010 and 2011.
Location of St Alfege Park
The main gate into the park is from St Alfege Passage, the footpath which runs beside the large white church (St Alfege Church). There are other gates on Roan Street and Bardsley Lane.
