Stamos James Martin (b. 1985)
Mr. Martin was born in Dallas, Texas, where, at the age of 8, he became interested in music. Only a few years after beginning the cello, he began to write music. He is a graduate of the Catholic University of America and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Mr. Martin has received 2nd place in the NAACP National ACT-SO competition of 2004 and a commission for the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music in 2006. Mr. Martin is currently a doctoral student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and has studied with Chen Yi Zhou Long and James Mobberley.
