Isla Mujeres offers the beauty of the Caribbean and a unique taste of Mexican Caribe culture. The island has enough tourism to be comfortable, but still retains it's island charm. If you mention Isla Mujeres to any taxi driver in Cancun, their first reaction is, " Ahhh, muy tranquila." Unlike the resort and party scene of Cancun, Isla Mujeres is a glorious retreat into island life. Ferries shuttle people every 30 minutes everyday.
If you look for the revolving star on the map you can see approximately where we are positioned on the island. We are located on the Caribe or open water side of the island. Everyone has their own opinions for and against different locations on the island. Here are mine. First we are located close enough to town that you could walk (15-20 min.) but far enough out that you often have our beach all to yourself. As far as the eye can see there is gorgeous Caribbean Ocean, as well as, passing dolphin, and sea life. This side of the ocean offers fabulous snorkeling, especially in the summer when the water is calmer. And when the water is rough, break out the boogie board! The beaches are rocky and perfect for sea shell hunting, so bring your water shoes. There is, however, plenty of sand beach if you want to sink you toes in it while you sip coffee and watch the sunrise.
In the summer while much of the island is stiffled in the heat, our side of the island always has a wonderful breeze and virtually no mosquitos.
All suites are located directly beach front each with private patios or balconies. The Balinese style pool and gardens are enclosed and protected from wind and outside eyes by a stone wall and the suites themselves. This affords you the ultimate in privacy, yet the gorgeous views of the Caribean are still visible through the French doors of all th e suites.

1. CONFIRMING YOUR RESERVATION
We receive your reservation request either through our website or an outside agent. We will notify you by e-mai if your reservation dates are available. If available and you wish to reserve these dates, we require a rental depsoit of 50% plus the full damage deposit if your arrival is more than 30 days out. 30 days prior to your arrival your balance is due in full. Payments can be made through Paypal or wired directly to our bank account. A PayPal money request or wiring instructions can be e-mailed upon request. Due to past experiences, I am sorry but RESERVATION DATES CANNOT BE HELD WITHOUT A DEPOSIT.
2. CANCELATION & REFUND POLICY
If your reservation arrival is 60 days out or more and you cancel your reservation, a refund will be issued to you with 1 day of your rental fee deducted from your deposit refund. If your cancellation is between 60 and 30 days out , you will receive a 50% refund on your deposit. If your cancellation is 30 days or less prior to your arrival date we offer no refund of your depsosit unless we can rebook your dates. Vacation insurance policies are available through various insurance agencies which cover your cost would you need to cancel your reservation due to unforseen circumstances.
3. OCUPPANCY
Magi Azul comfortably accomodates up to 8 persons. During your reservation process you will be required to list the number of people in your party. At no time can more than 8 people stay in the house unless prior permission has been granted. If the number of people changes we must be notified by e-mail. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation if more than 8 persons reside in the house without prior permission from the owners. No more than 4 outside guests are allowed on the property at one time. Larger parties must be approved by the owners
and the premises rented at an extra fee under special events.
4. CHILDREN
To insure a peaceful environment for our clients, families with children must rent the whole house. Magi Azul has numerous design elements that are potentailly dangerous for children. It is important that your children are supervised at all times. The renter agrees to be responsible for the health, safety , and damages associated with their children.
5. PETS
Clients with pets must rent the whole house and receive prior permission from the owners concerning the presence of any pets. The renter agrees to be responsible for any damages caused by your pet.
6. SMOKING
No indoor smoking is allowed
7. SECURITY & PERSONAL PROPERTY
To insure the safety of all guests and their possesions, you are asked to lock the entrance doors to your rooms and the entrance doors to the property whenever you leave it. Security safes are also available in all rooms for the safety of your valuables. Magi Azul assumes no responsibility for the loss of any personal items.
8. DAMAGE DEPOSIT
A damage deposit equal to one night's rental fee is to be paid at the time of your reservation. This deposit will be returned no more than 15 days after you depart, assuming no damage has been reported. You will not be held responsible for normal wear and tear of items in the house.. Deductions for lost key - $50 Lost remote for TV or A/C - $100 We do require you credit card information to have on file.
9. LIABILITY, TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions form a contract between the owners of Magi Azul Beach House and the renters of Magi Azul Beach House. Payment of your deposit is deemed as full and final acceptance of the terms and conditions for booking a reservation with Magi Azul Beach House. By booking a reservation with Magi Azul you agree to idemnify the owners , agents, and employees of Magi Azul against any claim for liability for loss of personal property, personal injury, or death, or any claim whatsoever resulting from your residence or your guests residence at Magi Azul Beach House.

From the Airport to the Island
You have several options on transportation from the airport to the ferry which will take you to the island. The whole trip takes a little over an hour. The ferries run evey day every thirty minutes so it is easy to get to Isla. We can arrange a driver to pick you up at the airport and take you to the ferry. They charge $30. If you choose to use another shuttle service just tell them to take you to the Ultra Mar Ferry. As you can see in the photo to the left, the ferry ride is fun!
You've Arrived - Now to Magi Azul
When you get off the ferry there will be taxis waiting right at the port. SInce you will probably have luggage I would not advise walking the first time. We are so new that if you tell them Magi Azul they will not know where to go. But if you tell them the entrance of Bachilleres or la entrada de Bachilleres they will know exactly where to take you. Or if your Spanish is not that great, you can just give them a note with "la entrada de Bachilleres" written on it . We are on the left hand side of the road across the street from Bachilleres. Our sign is not completed yet so look for for the big white house with a little palapa (grass roof) entrance and a stone second level balcony visible over the main wall. We will have a cold drink waiting for you!
