Southern Cross Voices is a four-part adult community choir based in Springwood, Queensland, Australia
Southern Cross Voices is a mixed voice choir (SATB) which aims to blend music excellence with community participation. Our purpose is to sing for enjoyment and to share this with the community.
Each year, Southern Cross Voices organises and performs one major concert that is designed to showcase our talents and repertoire. The Choir is also invited to perform at various Brisbane and Logan City events and venues and is involved in Australia Day and Anzac Day ceremonies as well as various Christmas performances.
Southern Cross Voices was formed in 1992 in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. Over the last 19 years the choir has performed at various functions including the Queenslanders Donate Thanksgiving Service, the Mission to Seafarers Memorial Service, numerous Anzac Day commemorations and various Christmas performances for council and community.
The Choir is very active in the local choral community. In 2009 Southern Cross Voices hosted the Australian National Choral Associations Big Sing for the third time since it was initiated in 2001. The choir has also performed at various ANCA events over the last few years including the ANCA Community Choir Concerts.
In 2010 the choir performed at an Australia Day Citizenship Ceremony, Logan Diggers Anzac Day Dawn Service, the Queenslanders Donate Thanksgiving Ceremony, Listen to the Music (Annual Concert), the Mission to Seafarers Memorial Service and various Christmas performances. For 2011 performances, please click on the Calendar page.
Southern Cross Voices is a non-audition SATB Choir who sing a wide range of repertoire including pop, jazz, classical, music theatre and gospel.
We welcome singers of all ages and backgrounds, although, those under the age of 18 must be accompanied to all rehearsals and events by a parent or legal guardian.
The only musical requirement is the ability to be able to sing in tune.

Should they wish to continue with the choir, they must complete the Request for Membership form and submit this to the Membership Coordinator.
