About Me
About the Photographer
Amber Flowers (born August 30, 1984) is a Kentucky photographer residing in Glasgow KY. She is most known for her Infrared photography and the 'fine art' feel to her work. She blends lifestyle and traditional photography into her portrait work. Her work has been featured on several websites. She's proud to work closely with new bands to help them succeed in their music careers with her creative photography and Photoshop skills. During the course of her career her style has changed, but she has consistently improved showing dedication to her photography. In 2009 she was accepted into League of Creative Infrared Photographers. She also started the Southern Kentucky Photographer's Club with the goal to bring local photographers together to work and learn together. She is a very friendly and helpful photographer eager to trade knowledge with photographers of all skill levels. Over the last few years she's primarily shot landscapes and nature photography, but has recently started to do more portraits and be more involved in the fashion industry. Amber is also interested in working with other photographers as a model or collaborating on photo shoots and projects. She is an excellent writer, designer and also has a background in singing and acting.
Amber resides in Glasgow, KY with her Husband, two children and several pets.

I photograph a wide variety of subjects. People, animals, insects, plants, man-made, outdoors and more! Here are a few of my favorites from each category:
Infrared

Digital Manipulations
Digital Manipulations are photographs that have been edited with a digital computer program. I've used several over the years, but Adobe Photoshop is my favorite and what I'm currently using. Here are a few of my favorite:

FOR ALL SERVICES 50% IS DUE DAY OF PROJECT OR TO RESERVE DAY.
MODEL RELEASE FORM REQUIRED FOR ALL PHOTOGRAPHY. PLEASE SCHEDULE 3 WEEKS IN ADVANCE TO ENSURE RESERVATION OF YOUR DAY.
After your session, view/select/confirm proofs online or in person. Pay only for prints you choose and shipping and handling. Nothing more!
PAYMENT IS DUE BEFORE YOU CAN ORDER PRINTS. Ask me about my layaway plans!
All orders include a complimentary slideshow for your websites/profiles, and one free custom template for first time customers. Prices are the same indoors or outdoors. Additional charge may apply for travel outside Barren County. Contact me for details.
People
People: (maternity, babies/children, seniors, family, elderly)
• $150 for a first time session; $125 per each additional session. Includes 2hrs unlimited photographs/changes, any number of people and a proof CD to keep!
Pets
Pets: (Any and all types)
• $ 150 for 2hrs and unlimited photographs. You can also photograph your pets with you and waive the pet fee! Pets MUST be up to date on shots/drops and friendly for the safety of myself and additional people/pets if present. Please bring a leash or cage incase your pet gets spooked by the camera.
Business & Commercial
• Portraits: $75 1hr; unlimited changes
• Business cards/flyers/brochures: $75 for each used design; $25 upfront per design request.
• Realty/car sales: $75 per house; $50 per car. Several photos aimed at selling your house/car; fully edited on a CD to keep. Can be used online or in print. Copyright release included.
• Myspace/Facebook/Twitter: $50 total; $25 upfront. I set up an account for you and customize it. After final approval, you will be given the password so you can change it and use your new profile.

• Births: $200 unlimited photography with doctors consent in writing; CD with ALL images. $50 2hrs; to return 24hrs after birth for additional photos.
• Graduations/sports: $175 4hrs; $100 2hrs
• Parties: $25hr
• Concerts/events: $75hr
• Weddings: $300.00 4hrs; $25hr for each additional hour. $75 for 20+page book.

Photoshoots
(Q.) Will you travel? How much does it cost?
(A.) Currently I prefer inside Barren County only, but I will travel farther depending on commission. Contact me with your questions!
(Q.) Are there refunds?
(A.) No. I give you the option to review your pictures and make your choices before they are processed to prevent the need for returns. If there are any problems after that time, we can discuss it if needed. If there are problems with the print and/or product's quality, contact me so I can correct the problem but ordering you a replacement.
(Q.) Will you make a custom background or photography set?
(A.) Yes! I love to do art of any kind and will be happy to work with you to suit your needs! If there's something I can't do I will find you someone that can!
(Q. ) Can I bring my own props or my pets? Is there extra cost?
(A.) These are your pictures, feel free to bring anything you want at no extra cost. As for pets, I love animals and encourage you to bring them too if you wish. The only requirement is that they be in a cage/on leash except during photo shoots and that they are clean and up to date on shots and flea killer for the safety of my other clients and their pets.
What to wear
(Q.) What should I wear?
(A.) I encourage you to BE YOURSELF. Wear whatever you want to! I have many locations to suit many outfit choices. Keep in mind though that these are your pictures and you will want to be able to look at them for a long time! Your family and friends will see your photos too.
TIPS:
1. Some shirts are transparent in bright lights so you may want to wear a matching undershirt.
2. Family photos look best if matching themes...such as all demin pants and white t-shirts for a shoot at a pond or woods. Use your imagination and wear what makes you and your family comfortable. You want to feel comfortable and be yourself!
3. Early morning or late afternoon is best, unless you want the heat and glare of midday sun. Shade is fine, but will be hot.
4. Bring your make-up with you. We may need to add more to make it more visable or due to sweating outdoors.
5. Keep in mind that skirts are shorter in shots of you sitting...this can be a bad thing for some of us women.

(Q.) What is infrared photography? What do i need to take my own?
(A.) Infrared photography is basically taking a photograph of light that is already out there everyday, but we just cant see it with out human eyes. By using a filter or converting your camera you can capture beautiful and unique images. Problem is not all cameras do well with infrared photography, so do some research online about your model before you do. Chances are others have tried it. I use a Hoya RM72 Filter and a Nikon D40. My older infrared cameras are: Canon A70 and Canon S5IS. Also, other than the filter and camera you need sunlight, patience (for long exposures) and preferably photoshop to convert the color channels. There's plenty more information about Infrared online or If you have questions or need help ask me. Good luck!
Other
(Q.) Will my photos be featured on your website?
(A.) Only if you want me to! I'd love to feature your photos as an example of my work, but only with your permission. When I photograph you are required to sign a model release form (free of charge) that will outline where I can and can't use your photos. You then get to choose where I can and where I can't. Some photographers use your photos anyway, but not me. You will get a copy of this form and have the peace of mind that you wont see your photographs anywhere you dont want them to be.
It is your privacy that matters the most.
(Q.) Do you do nude/underwear photo shoots?
(A.) I'd love to do ARTISTIC nudes, BUT currently I am researching the legalities for Kentucky before I can. I do know that you must be at least 18 with proof of age. You will also have to sign a model release stating that you posed for me in this manner by your own free will. You can also choose whether or not a censored version of your photos can be featured on my website. Keep in touch with me so I can let you know when I've gotten everything ready. Photos like these are GREAT gifts for spouses on wedding nights, Christmas, Birthdays and more.
