Breeder of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels
Dog and Cat Groomer
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, breed of small dog developed in the early 20th cent. from the English toy spaniel. It stands about 12 in. (30 cm) high at the shoulder and weighs from 13 to 18 lb (68 kg). Its long, silky coat may be slightly wavy, but never curly, and forms a fringe of longer hair, or feathers, on the ears, legs, tail, and feet. Although it is usually white with chestnut markings, it may have any of the color patterns of the English toy spaniel.
The breed has four recognized colours
Parti-colours are the colours that include white: Blenheim and Tricolour. Whole-colours have no white: Black and Tan, and Ruby. The Blenheim is the most common colour.
The breed is highly affectionate, and some have called the Cavalier King
Charles Spaniel "the ultimate lap dog" or the "love sponge" of dogs. Most
dogs of the breed are playful, extremely patient and eager to please. As such, dogs of the breed are usually good with children and other dogs. A
well-socialized Cavalier will not be shy about socializing with much larger dogs.
TIPS for HOUSEBREAKING
Designate one area outside as a "potty" area.
Feed at the same time(s) everyday.
Take your puppy out every 2 hours to the "potty" area, whether he/she has eaten or not.
The times that a puppy will most likely want to eliminate are after eating or drinking, after a nap, or after a period of play or vigorous exercise.
Bring the puppy to the designated areause a leash if the area is not confined. Initially, you want to teach the puppy what the words "go potty" mean. Once the puppy has performed the task at hand, give him/her a treat and lots of hugs and kisses.
If youve puppy wont eliminate after about five minutes take him/her back inside but do not take your eyes off him/her. Watch for signs that he/she needs to go: circling, pacing, intense sniffing, or a sudden stop in the middle of an activity. The second you see any such signs, get him/her back outside.
In housebreaking your puppy, the two most important concepts for you are WATCH and CONFINE. Do not give your new puppy full run of the house; instead, start in a small area. Don't graduate to a larger area until he/she has proven himself/herself .
Be prepared with a puppy crate ready when you bring your puppy home. It's not cruel to use a crate; it is cruel to constantly reprimand, scold and possibly get physical with the puppy for having an accident inside the house. Make ¼ to ½ of the crate a bed.
NEVER BE PHYSICAL WITH A PUPPY FOR ELIMINATING INSIDE... Being physical with your puppy will make it not want to perform in front of you, and will actually cause the puppy to leave gifts for you out of your sight. Be patient, accidents will happen. Use a good enzymatic cleaner designed to eliminate all traces, including the lingering odor.
You can start a very young puppy on puppy pads, but exchange them for formal crate training as soon as possible. Be patient, consistent, and diligent in taking the puppy outside. Regulate what goes into your puppy's tummy, so you can regulate what comes out. In a matter of weeks, your diligence will pay off - no more accidents!

Flight Information
Cavaliers are mild mannered dogs, so they usually handle the flight process very well. We are comfortable with several airlines including American, Continental, and Delta, and we can use several other airlines as needed. It is recommented to find the best flight for the puppy--a direct flight if possible with the least possible travel time.
There are temperature restrictions for all airlines except Continental. Continental uses temperature controlled vehicles to transport the pets to and from the airplanes, so they are not under the USDA restrictions like the other airlines. For the other airlines, the USDA requires that the ground temperatures at all cities included in the flight be between 20°F and 85°F. Delta allows pet travel on direct flights and flights through Atlanta up to 100°F. Temperatures are checked on www.weather.com; they give an hourly temperature prediction for any city up to 48 hours in advance. I can book Continental flights any time in advance; the other airlines must be booked within a few days of the expected departure date.
I make the reservation and send you an e-mail with all the necessary information. Only the person I list will be able to claim the puppy, so to ensure safety you will need to show your driver's license or other government issued picture ID in order to pick up and take home your new puppy.
Flight cost is not included in the price of the puppies and the adopted parent will be responsible for the cost. We will be happy to assist in the coordinating flight schedules, if necessary.

Daegan Red
I was born on November 11, 2007. I was adopted by my loving parents in Katy, TX. I am ACA registered. By the way, cute puppies run in our family!
My Philosophy
Even as a child, I have always had an innate connection with animals. I treat my pets as if they were my children and spoil them with love, but I strongly believe in discipline then affection.
I also firmly believe the most important thing is to provide a happy home for my babies and smother them with unconditional love and care. That way, everyone will be stress free and able to enjoy each others' love. My babies are inside dogs and are groomed regularly.
The Pups
Sophee became pregnant on March 26, 2009 and gave birth to 6 healthy puppies on May 26, 2009. They ranged in size from 3oz. to 7oz. They opened their eyes on June 9, 2009. The puppies began weaning on June 22, 2009.
Each puppy can be registered with the ACA.
Each one of the puppies will come with vaccinations current to date, ACA paperwork for registration purposes, new puppy kit and keepsake toy.
