Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. Diana’s music career has brushed the geographic canvas of Canada and the U.S over twenty years. Canadian Jazz luminaries Lorne Lofsky, Bernie Senensky, Bob Livingstone, Bill McBirnie, along with icons Rik Emmett (Triumph), Kevin Breit (Sisters Euclid), Randy Cooke (Ringo Starr), Joe Rockman (Jeff Healey) and Tom Leighton are just a few of the many talents Diana has shared the stage and studio with.
Her voice made an impact on the Jazz music scene in Canada, Europe and the U.S. from her alias ‘NURA’ debut album, a project that broke new ground with a sound that blends Jazz with elements of R&B, Brazilian/Latin and Classical music. She is recognized for her beautiful weaving of lyrics and vocalese into a melody, bringing a cinematic quality to her songs, in addition to the standard scat that is heard in classic jazz.
