"The love of vintage cars & the desire to learn more about them brought us together." We all ended up in a vintage auto mechanic class at Skyline College. We got to talking & soon after, The Socket Wenches Vintage Car Club was born. To learn more about us, see our individual bios
Lynda (also know as burlesque performer, Lily LeRouge) has always loved vintage cars. Her first car was a 1971 Camaro with a 327 Chevy engine. She tried to take an auto mechanics class in high school and was refused entry due to her gender. When Andrea from the Hells Belles told her about the vintage auto mechanic class at Skyline College , she was ecstatic with joy! She would finally be able to learn more about her precious vintage cars. She has a good friend named Johnny, who helps her out and shows her a lot of car-related things, and explains things to her in great detail when he is helping her out with her car, but it is always nice to learn more, especially in a hands-on class setting.
Lynda currently owns two cars: 1937 Cadillac Touring Sedan model # 6519 (purchased October 2007) and1972 Cadillac Superior Hearse (purchased October 2000).
She enjoys many things, but isnt content to just sit and watch. She likes to do. Other interests include: Burlesque, vintage fashion, hair and make-up, photography, reading, crafting, and many more. She makes her own costumes, and she also periodically sings and dances with Lucifers Strip Club Band.
When I was little my dad owned several Ford Falcons and ever since I started driving I wanted one just like his! Spoiled by my Roberto I bought my 1963 Beast in December 2008. With my mom's babysitting support I am attending the vintage mechanics class at Skyline College where I met three ultra cool gals!
I am a photographer who works as an in-vivo researcher in the field of biotechnology and is completing an MS in the field. I am a mom of Georgia Eva who loves vintage cars, Elvis Presley, & Bret Michaels just like her mami!
The newest and greenest Wench of the crew. Marlene drives a 1938 Ford ½ ton pickup with a 51 Ford engine named "Ol Blue". The ride was purchased as a 40th birthday gift to herself! Marlene originally joined the Wenches to find the truck and it worked after a year of looking. Lynda found the beauty at her mechanic in SF and he was selling it for a private party who let it sit for 10 years. A couple of basic auto classes under her belt and a whole lot to learn, Marlene looks forward a to a long relationship with Ol Blue and the Wenches!
